Oh, well... I voted Believer in Blessed Virtue, if only to have another ronin in game, and to trigger a certain someone who can’t stand ronins and minor clans.

We have to remember Glory does not necessarily equate to just honor but can also be a matter of notoriety. So for example a Battle Maiden who say refused to compromise her honor when confronted with a choice that conflicted with her duty to the clan and so was forced to leave the clan, in either protest or as punishment, but has since become a peasant hero as she wanders the countryside confronting bandits and protecting the weak could easily be representative.

Quite. To my mind, glory is only tangential to honor and has more to do with notoriety, potential to single-handedly affect a conflict and (I think) vulnerability to corruption. In any case, from the RR:

The stablemaster and mediator could be males, the other 3 are females. Not that that matters, but it will obviously affect the card art. I did vote for the mediator, in hopes that a gaijin presence may prove interesting.

Kisada is probably the epitome of notorious, but uncaring of reputation, at glory 0. I feel like the higher glory characters like battle maidens are those whose reputations being tarnished really impact them as people. Whereas the crane would be those who really rely on capitalising on their reputations.

Well, I can't really see 'out of clan allies' theme working with a stablemaster - with the Utaku steeds not exactly being something shared with other clans and frankly no other clan having cavalry worth spit.

Cultured Mediator makes more sense from that front.

The stablemaster would almost have to be male, since the Utaku men are known for being horse breeders and trainers.

Worldly Shiotome it is. A Battle Maiden with a particular affinity and interest in gaijin customs and items.

Ronin was second. Shuck, I really wanted Utaku Morito or Tokei, as we already have their mother, Utaku Tetsuko, and her flavor text talks about them.

Your know that the vote was telling us the name of the character and confirmed that it will be a generic archetype character, so we knew we weren't getting a named character out of it right.

I voted Preserver of Purity, but I'm cool with Worldly Shiotome.

Huh... it seems anything I vote for in this contest loses by the biggest margin.

Maybe I should vote for the options I least want the next time this kind of thing happens so that I can place the curse on that option?

I am cool with the Worldly Shiotome. I am just happy that the salt trolls did not wind up making this in to the Ronin.

But the theme that won was Out-of-clan Allies, not Exploration.

Seeing this concept talks about gaijin customs and items, maybe it’ll reduce the cost of events and attachments from other clans?

Or a character that benefits from non-unicorn cards in general. Bonus per non-unicorn card played during a conflict?
