why is that link not working anymore?

Sorry, there is a problem

We could not locate the item you are trying to view.

Error code: 2F173/O

That's what I got.

Interesting. Copyright infringement notice served?

What was it suppose to link to?

That was the thread for that extremely detailed (read: borderline copyright infringement) list of all the weapons, gear, armor, etc that someone made up and posted awhile back. (not just " See DC page XX for details" but full on stat blocks and verbatim text)

We all commented that it was a bit too detailed, but then since FFG did nothing about it, we assumed it was okay. I assume it finally came under scrutiny and got nixed.

its an excel spreadsheet with plenty of informations....which i havent had time to browse......

copyright ..maybe......but at some point....where can we go as a player of the game to create stuff useful for our own playtime....

I'm speaking for myself, because after all, im creating cards representing what we can find in the game...putting valuable informations from the books in form of image.... because of course I'm not going to be browsing the books every time I want an item....that would be ******.... I mean, instead of buying a bunch of core rulebook, I would rather have bought a book with all the vehicles, mods and planets... a book with all the weapons, mods, armors , mods, gears … a book with all the races, npcs and character creation.... and then a book as a GM......rather than those core rulebook that are useless... and therefor I wouldn't have to create cards...to improve possible playtime for myself and others... especially thinking that most items don't even have a picture...

would they say what I'm doing is copyright? I've asked them 3 times thus far using the contact button at the bottom of the page if they mind that I share what I was doing for myself and my playgroup.....but without any answer from their parts... so far, lots of people have made cards... for years...I'm just making complete cards... I've well passed the 500 hours working on this... over the last 12 months....time that I would have either spent watching movies or play xbox… so its not like if it was wasted...

But on the other hand, people are scanning pages from the books to share the planets... because of course, you need some description about the planets to run an effective campaign.....of any sort... so when I think about that....well they probably don't mind because of the nature why it is being done...

If I’m understanding your project right, the difference is that you’re creating those cards for your own reference, while the spreadsheet in the deleted thread was distributing the information to the public, eliminating any need to purchase the books. And in FFG’s own back yard, no less.
