House Dayne Reserves

By FATMOUSE, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Can I trigger House Dayne Reserves' ability (Any Phase: Kneel 1 influence to return House Dayne Reserves to its owner's hand) if it is in my discard or dead pile? I initially thought you could, but it doesn't have the infinity symbol that is usually associated with that kind of card recursion.

No, only when it is in play. Cards that trigger from your dead or discard pile will also note that in their ability descriptions; the infinity symbol is a reminder icon.

Darn, that ruins my Martell Summer deck idea: use Reserves to pay for Open Market's ability and then kneel an influence to get it back. Oh well, thanks for the help!

If you could return it from the discard pile, that card would definitely see a lot more action lengua.gif

~ Yeah, because no Martell player touches this POS as is.... preocupado.gif

I actually play a pair of them in my deck a long with Darkstar as Intrigue protection. My deck is a pure revenge deck though, and basically comes up with a way to punish you for challenging me at all.

Just FYI: the tilde (~) indicates sarcasm on these boards. House Dayne Reserves is a great card that a lot of Martell players use. Consistently.

Well I learned something new today. I actually thought you were serious when you said that no Martell player touches them lengua.gif
