Becuase even if he's 3rd party a lyncher is basically town if I remember rightly or least it should be, the anti-town part of the role is usually they have a town target..

I don't think any defence will take him off my vote now, it's been over a whole day...
and to expand on Vip, he had time to log in ask why Vip was quiet and the like, but despite the game heating up at that point choose not to vote, said sorry the next day, and presumed to say nothing since, seems like a scum marine as did D1

Right. I looked it up, and Lyncher is fully 3rd party. No towniness about it. So ultimately there is nothing actually tying him to town, and no way to prove that he isn't scum.
Additionally, he doesn't have to start the train, just be on it, so really he could just as well wait for somebody else to vote and join for a different reason.
All this is to say that I still have my eye on him, and that I am not buying his claim. I'll go along with the majority for now, on the chance he really is harmless though.

Holy crap, I'm so sorry everyone, no strong defense from me. My wifes out of town and I'm solo with the kids this weekend figured I'd have time to be on- which I did- I just totally spaced yesterday cause we had a fun daddy son day all day cause I took it off work.
I'm going to catch up and post something productive but need a few minutes to read up.

i can buy this but I for one would like a claim.. as much as I buy your reasons, by process of elimination, if it's not you i'm left with LP/LTD/Jabba all of whom I feel more confident on being town than you

Alright I'm mostly caught up-
First off i gotta say, giving me the credit for pushing for a lynch on VIP is pure fantasy. Seriously my comment consists entirely of "anyone heard from VIP?" And you've hung you accusational hat on that one sentence in order to spin some criminal mastermind thing on me.
Mundane reality- the day VIP was lynched I worked a 10 hour shift followed by game night at a buddies and I was wiped. I was trying to catch up from the day and wanted to make sure I didnt miss anything from him, and then passed out cause it was midnight. When I woke up after the 3am local time vote everyone else had policy lynched the inactive. I had no role in that, and I think if I had been there to nip that in the bud game would look way different. That's my bad so ill live with it.
But one thing about me that my games will back up, I understand needing policy lynches but they almost never work out and I dont believe ive ever voted on one. I certainly don't recall supporting them other than begrudgingly. I definitely wasnt intending to push people toward a policy vote, no matter that the circumstances. That's just not really me.
Still working, phones about to die gotta switch to the back up.
