I have no idea what the range of this ability is supposed to be. I'm ran my first RT game this weekend and one of the players wanted to use it to detect the presence of psykers on another ship. We were using the battle man because ship to ship combat was about to occur and the enemy ship was nearly 200,000km away. Is there a range for the use of this skill that I just happened to miss?

Seems it didn't make it into the description for Psyniscience in RT , or the RTLE . In DH the range is equal to the Psyker's Perception Bonus ( PB )+1d10 meters. Each degree of success on the roll increases this by an additional distance of PB +1d10 meters. By those rules, it's not very useful in ship-to-ship combat. However; if one wants, one could rule that in ship-to-ship the range is a number of VU's equal to the Psyker's PB plus 1 VU per degree of success.
I don't know; looks like something more for the Rogue Trader Living Errata .
