Rise of the Separtist's release date?

By bblaney001, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

It's entirely possible that if there was a production issue that required FFG to order a new print run of the book, that with the new release date being in April, they might well opt to have the book be released to coincide with Celebration.

it's not going to be a con-exclusive, but seeing as how the book's been delayed to this extent, they may have just opted to roll with it and hold off until Celebration to start shipping the book.

It's a quantum whatsit. By observing it you're preventing it from arriving.

FFG has said in the past that the only con they sell at is GenCon, as they prefer to drive traffic to retailers. But then, they also said they preferred not to stat out “named” characters. So who knows....

If anything, we can hope they release the book around Gencon. August 1st anyone?

I see you too ate at Chipotle...

A release date is a three-edged sword.

When we want it, when they say it'll be out, and when it actually comes out.

I think FFG threw a despair on that, and now the shipping is stuck

Surprise, fear...and...um...surprise? ...again?

This sets a precedent. Never before has FFG commented on the status of unreleased products.

Not sure if they’ve accepted preorders for it or not. If so, I imaging the $200 price point might be bigger incentive to comment than a $40 Book.

What I mean is their company policy was to never talk about unreleased content besides the preview articles on the news page.

Have they had a single product with a price point that high before? (Legit, honest question. I don’t know the answer.)

I know some of the core games (Armada, Legion, Imperial Assault) hover at that marketing-only “under $100” of $99.95, but have they crossed that barrier and gone to $200 on any other product?

Closest I know of is Twilight Imperium 4th Edition at $150
