Is there any special rules for casting invocations in the shadowlands ?

If there isn't, how would you handle it ?

I'd make most of the Shadowlands Defiled terrain (obvious) and good stretches of it Imbalanced terrain in multiple elements. So yeah, harder for Shugenja to work their Invocations for the most part.

Pretty much all of the deep shadowlands should be defiled. Along the edges, the kuni work hard to restore it...

Perhaps the prayer to the Kami was instead answered by a Kansen... narrative time.
