I was wondering if there are optional rules to play with more than two people. Can four players play? This of course assumes that each player has access to a sufficient number of cards to build a solid deck.

According to my understanding, there are no official rules for multiplayer (3 or more) gaming. However, there are multiple unofficial variants out there. Google "warhammer invasion multiplayer rules."

i might add that probably MOST of us are expecting there to be official multiplayer rules eventually. The cards are worded to suggest that. when that will be is unknown...

Very cool. I've only seen the FFG video on the game, and I was totally drawn in. One of the first things that occurred to me was that you could have two players as Order, and two players as Chaos, (or whatever the bad guys are called). The battlefield zone could be a general field, reachable by all players, but the other two zones are only accessible by player sitting directly across from that player.
