This card has difficulty of misfortune dice and is a straight WP roll against that difficulty (plus whatever the GM adds on).
The card also has a Chaos star results line, which inflicts an additional wound on the user.
To start with I was thinking that the only time that result line will be applicable is if the GM determines that the situation in which the action is used warrants the addition of 1 or more
dice to the dice pool, then I thought about quick casting, which adds 1
to the pool, and hence could cause the additional wound (for the chaos star result).
So basically, you can whip yourself into a frenzy over time, flagelatting yourself slowly and methodically, or you can whip your back as fast as you can, being less precise and increasing the chance of injury but getting into a frenzied state much quicker!
I hope this kind of nice touch is intentional by the designers and I wonder how many other cards have these little story/description drivers built into the special results lines.
I've seen a few boon and bane results that have a similar vein, but this one I particularly liked as it isn't immediately obvious that it's even there.
