• Denial?
  • I see you there. You are telling me this is just a period during which FFG is focusing on other games. Armada will get its turn. The SSD proves Armada is alive and well. If you tell me this isn't a joke and not funny, you might be at this stage.
• Anger?
  • Is your username Admiral Nelson? Have you sold all of your models? Did you purchase Star Trek attack wing models just to prove a point? Perhaps this is you.
• Bargaining?
  • Sending messages to developers asking them to keep the game going? Are you buying out Kuat Drive Yards and Shapeways to keep the game going with new content? Do you tell your friends not to sell their models that you can all keep the game going without FFG support?
• Depression?
  • Do your JJ turns feel a little less turny? Do your rams feel less rammy? Does even Reeikan fail to keep you involved in games?
• Acceptance?
  • Have you sold your models? Do you only keep them to play with your one friend? Are they awaiting your child's coming of age?

*This is meant as fun. I, just as much as others, want to see FFG continue to support Armada. I see that as increasingly unlikely, especially enough support to make communities grow. Nevertheless, I still want it.

Well, for me it went a little like this:

• Denial
  • Nobody's upset. These forums are always positive and everyone agrees the game is fine.
• Anger
  • **** it, why does everyone keep whining ? We all want content, why do we need to make what we don't have our main topic?
• Bargaining
  • Alright, I made a venting thread. If we can just keep the angst contained there...
• Depression
  • Nope, there's kvetching all over the place. Morale has crumbled. Cheer has failed. Why am I even here?
• Acceptance
  • People will be people. Time to frequent Fleet Builds and Painting for a bit. One day, the controversy over new Clone Wars content will make all this feel like a tempest in a teapot anyway.

And then things mostly blew over, and we got a gigantic new product announcement.

I'm just waiting in anticipation for the SSD.......

Not sure I fall into any of those. I am trying to be proactive, I took up the TO torch at a store that was not running Armada events. We had 10 participants at the Store Championship which was just 1 off of our 2018 regionals event. I will be running another tournament in mid November and they were selected for a Regionals event this year in mid January which I will also TO.

I try and help encourage folks to play and we have a solid player base now with casual games becoming a regular occurance. For new players I offer to lend out ships if needed, especially Arquitens and Quasars which are nearly impossible to find at the moment.

I am optimistic about the game in our area, with that said I expect a couple articles leading up to SSD release and Regionals but not much more. As much as I want a true wave 8 I don't think FFG wants to take any focus off the SSD at this point. If we have to wait a full year after the SSD for a Wave 8 I will be disappointed. I would hope for a wave 8 announcement within a couple months of the SSD release but I won't be holding my breath.

I have recently been playing Legion (Rebels only) and I picked up a second hand X-Wing Imperials lot and have tried that as well. Armada is still without question my favorite of the 3. It is so well done and so well balanced at this point! We need more content though.

just a remark to Thrindal‘s follow up post, I am totally invested in the local community, TOing tourneys in stores, organizing club tourneys (we now have 16 players in our months long yearly Winter trophy) and providing prizes on mostly my own personal costs, and I love doing it. But my objective assessment is as indicated above.

Armada is the fine scotch that you sip. As a person that has pumped serious money into Runewars and Legion, I'm really glad that Armada progress is slow, actually. I've played the *&%@# out of Armada, while those other games are basically painting and painting and painting.

We're all waiting on what the SSD and the future will bring to this fantastic game. Grieving over it is premature in my opinion.

Let's stop this talk and figure out how to get more people into the 7+SSD Waves that we've got.

I had over 6000 points of Tomb Kings and some 7000 points of Skaven, all fully painted...and managed to sell it all for top dollar right after they announced AoS. Never looked back.

Nice. I tried to get my region to go 9th Age, but they were so angry at GW that they went KoW, which I find a poor and utterly nondescript snoozefest.

Corrected. Now this is an option I can get behind! FFG will do what it will do. I will be playing Armada for decades to come.

I’m so behind with purchases because I got into Armada late that this is giving me chance to catch up with the rest of you guys. I do feel for you not having any new content though.

In all seriousness. I started last november with getting the core set, and have been upgrading my fleets over the year. I hopped into seeing these massive Large Ship + a ton of floatillas. I avoided buying gozanti's because they were meh ships to me. Glad I didnt follow so many others with 7-9 of those. But also, it just looks meh on the board and doesnt look fun. People pay attention to what looks fun. Then they ask about prices.

... a $200 dollar model, that you can use 1 of in a normal battle and you dont even get all the things to START playing. You would still have to buy a Core Set; and you can bet, there will be some that buy the SSD and Core Set to start.

You have to start with somethig like, "This is a end game model, basically..." If the first thing I heard, was that the one ship that I am looking at is $200 dollars, I'd nope out faster than anything else.

After seeing it in person, $200 MSRP seems very reasonable for that size model.

Reasonable for someone already invested into the game, and someone not, are two different points of view.

I'm not worried, I'm confident that FFG will give us more content, and hopefully the Rebels will get an exclusive wave...

Not going to lie I would buy the Bulwark Mark III even though it looks like one of those tropical fish with the huge foreheads.

I can't help it, I've bought every ship at least once, besides if the Bulwark becomes an Armada ship then maybe people will apologize to the Assault Frigate...
