Should FFG offer an official alternative playing mat size

36”x36” is the standard

maybe a 24”x36”

Thoughts ?

I like the idea of a 48 x 36 for the larger team epic games. We've tried it a couple of times and it works great!

Agree a larger mat would be good for epic

problem with 36”x 36” is it requires a very large table 48”x48” to accommodate cards etc outside the playing area.

Be nice to have an official smaller board for standard folding tables used in many game stores

I tend to have folding "tv dinner tray tables" on hand to put beside my play table so we can have our own space for cards, but you are right, usually the play space takes the whole table up.

I am waiting for a good Epic-Format-Map for X-Wing.
I already own two standard-starfield-maps but for Epic I would love to play on one big fluffy star wars mat.
