Simple version: Sensor Range: Short and twin linked heavy laser cannons gives you a TIE variant with that can engage capital ships from beyond the range of most point defense (Close).
Whilst that would be effective enough Fractalsponge has these down as Turbolasers, along with 4 missile launchers!!
I was thinking of maybe dropping speed to 4 (just below the Tie/LN) to accommodate the extra power needed to power those cannons.

Make sure it's upped to Sil 4 and give it a crap SST to represent those oversized weapons.
Or just ignore the overpowered write up entirely.

The Missile Launchers he used seem to be of the bank-of-single-cans variety like in the TIE Avenger. So while there's several ways to stat it, the most typical would be: Concussion Missile Launchers Linked 1, Ammo 4.
As for the cannons, remember table 7-1 is "typical" weapon numbers, not universal. So this thing could carry non-standard turbolasers that exceed Laser Canon numbers while still not being as powerful as Light Turbolasers.
Meeting in the middle and making something like Damage 7 (or maybe a lower damage with some Breach), crit 3, close, slow-1, linked 1, and slapping a low SST like Happy suggests might work.
Personally I'd make it's speed 3, so it can't really dogfight, it's SST garbage, it's HT and/or armor above average, generating something more suited for close air support-type missions over naval aviation-style engagements. And it's certainly large enough to make it a Low Sil 4 if you wanted.
I kinda wish Fractal had write-ups of what he was thinking when he made his stuff...

"turbolasers" can be a bit of a misnomer, as there's vessels on Wookieepedia that are cited as having 'turbolasers' when they're really more likely to have heavy laser cannons. Granted, authors of screenplays and novels don't have to fret about what sort of game stats they'd have, and "turbolasers" generally sounds cooler than "laser cannons."
That said, you probably could give these things light turbolasers, though fair warning that giving these Linked 1 is going to give these a lot of punch, even more so if you add concussion missile launchers. I however wouldn't give them much in the way of system strain threshold or even a speed given most of the ship's power would be going to the weapons systems. They'd probably still Silhouette 3, though on the larger end of that spectrum.
With the size of those things I'd go with making it the A-10 of tie fighters. A pair of linked light turbo lasers would fit that role. For funzies I would make the three points around the cockpit light ion cannons (Linked 2). I could see making the two points at 4 and 8 around the cockpit concussion missile launchers. Although that doesn't really leave any ability to dogfight, but hey, that's not it's role.
I could see replacing the light ion cannons with light lasers though though.
@AceSolo5 where do you see Fractal's description?
@Ahrimon it was in his first work in progress here:

I like the idea of it being the A-10 of Tie Fighters! I was seeing it as some sort of ship killer, fast enough for a wing of them to get in fast & do some real damage to corvette & frigate sized ships, then get away... maybe backed up by Tie Interceptors to fend off any unwelcome fighter attention!
Great input from all of you so cheers for that! Like the idea of SST being low to represent the amount of energy diverted to powering those Turbolasers & it definitely needs to be tough to soak up any incoming fire from point defense weaponry!
I’m also thinking of reducing the range on the Turbos just to even things out a bit.
Maybe the Rebel A-10 is good comparison? You know the B-Wing.

I'd say it's fair to call them (very) light turbolasers in-universe, while calling their stats heavy lasers. Or you could make a custom weapon that is a more powerful heavy laser with slow fire.
fractalsponge's take on it is :
Quote“Sniper. Cover dogfighters as they accelerate into the scrum, kill bombers, shuttles, transports, and escort corvettes, independent point and area defense for a capital ship. Instant kills on light fighters, extremely dangerous in close even vs high end fighters because it might have a lot of weight, but it has enormous power to move it, on top of the firepower and shielding. A flight of these with 2 flights of Defender to back them up and that’s a fighter squadron that’s dangerous at all ranges.”
With heavy laser and missiles that reach out to short, it should be a fairly useful "sniper", as a pair of linked heavy lasers should be fairly capable of "Instant kills on light fighters". As for "extremely dangerous in close even vs high end fighters because it might have a lot of weight, but it has enormous power to move it" I'd give it a good speed rating of 4 or 5 (which is very useful for Gain the Advantage) but mediocre to poor handling (-1). From the fact that they're paired up with Defenders in squadrons we can infer that they have hyperdrives as well.
What we're closing in on, as others have suggested, is essentially a B-wing with a slightly different weapons loadout and perhaps sensor range: short (but not necessarily, as it's fair to require it to make use of active sensors for sniping).

Just make the heavy laser linked 1, drop the ion cannon and autoblaster and drop the slow-fire from the proton torpedoes or give them linked 3 (to represent to multiple tubes).
You could also, like the Defender, allow them to use any type of missile or torpedo in their launchers.
