RedLine

Can Redline aquire a lock off any of his actions? Also, if this is true, the acquired lock does not dress?

Ie: Focus?

Reload?

Barrel roll?

Boost to combo lock and then aquire 2nd lock?

Yes.

The last one even gives you 3 locks (boost, free lock, lock, free lock) but it's a bit pointless as you can only manage 2.

Also another one not included which also works is: Repair a damage card using the action listed on it, get a free lock)

Wow!!! Now I see why he used so much.

The "extra lock" isn't an action - so can be attempted under any circumstances after you do an action.

This is important because if, for example, you barrel roll, you're then stressed and can't perform actions.....but, because 'acquire a target lock' isn't the same as 'a target lock action', you can still do it.

Has anyone found an official ruling on whether Redline allows you to lock the same target twice?

Yes he can.

An official ruling is not needed. His ability allows two locks, the core rules do not prohibit multiple locks on the same object.

You dont need an official rule for literally everything in a game about permissions.

"You may maintain 2 locks" includes 2 on the same target. It does not need extra words to emphasis that point.

Look at the R3 Astromech:

You can maintain up to 2 locks. Each lock must be on a different object.

That specifies to make the locks in different objects. So the normal rules does not block the possibility.

I think you messed up your quote block there.

Which is important if you are running him with Advanced Sensors. Now you can get the free lock before moving (allowing a full modded shot with a bump).
