Drybrushing TIE panels?

By WanouMars, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

Hi all :)

I'm painting a TIE Fighter and made the panels (not the frame) NATO black (kind of muted smoky black).

Now that the rest of the ship is painted, panels look very flat.
Do you have any suggestion to make them more interesting?

I'm not very experienced in dry brushing, and panel lines are not very pronounced.
As I'm writing this, I realize that I could try on another TIE, which I will do.

Seems like the community is leaving panels monochromeous , or with a central glow - I couldn't find evidence of dry brushing.
Do you have any ideas / suggestions? :)

Thanks!

You need very dry brush here. The technique is easy, just do it on cheap things until becoming confident.
