When you ad the Virago title, you also add a modification slot, can you put 2 of the same mods, say shields on the ship. I tried in the squad maker, but it would not let the shield upgrade come up again.

No. You cannot ever put more than one of a given upgrade on a given ship.

This ruling also involves a terminology change between First and Second edition. What we used to know about cards that were "Limited (1e)" was that you could only include one of them on a given ship... now, because that stipulation is enforced for EVERY card in the game, there are no cards that are labeled "Limited" as such.

Instead, the term "Limited (2e)" has been repurposed in the game, in place of the term "Unique (1e)." Any "Limited (2e)" card has a dot by its name: That means you can only include one card with that name in your squad. Future cards could contain more than one dot, which would indicate that you can include a maximum of that many cards with that name (a future example could be something like ⚫ ⚫ Attanni Mindlink ).
