3 scum lists that use a Bounty Hunter not named Boba... this might actually work.

By Greedo_Sharpshooter, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Scums generic bounty hunter could be a sleeper ship none is really talking about. Boba Fett/Han/Marauder is getting all the hype (and for good reason) but switching out Boba for a generic Bounty Hunter lets you upgrade one fangfighter to Fenn.

Squadron#1 gives opponents a difficult choice for target priority. Use Fenn as a flanker with BH as a blocker/brawler in close. Palob chips in supporting damage and messes with their actions.

Squadron#2 I just like Palob in general but you could use a second fangfighter instead if you like and go BH/Fenn/Skull Sqdrn Pilot.

Squadron#3 Torkil Mux backing up BH is pretty nasty and will give you opportunities to take out most small ships before they get to fire back.

Which one do you like best from these squads?

(3) 0-0-0

I like #1 the most, but this may be me being the Palob fan...

I think the key with all these lists is to keep the BH alive for a long as possible, since you want him to be the primary target. Getting Fenn in multiple arcs early will be his demise, so he had to be very careful on his approach. Palob can help with that too an extend.

However I am not sure if you need 0-0-0 on the BH. I'd like the more defensive approach with debris gambit, but sadly the BH has lost his talent.

Han gunner... I am not sold. You will get the focus at initiative 2, which is very late. With Han gunner I'd want to shoot very early, to have the focus for defense if needed. This is why it is so strong on Boba - initiative 5

The BH is more likely to get the Calculate token than the targeted ship get a stress. The maneuverability reduction and possible loss of action that close to a Marauder? No thanks (4 dice with reroll and possibly focus on Marauder Firesprays hurts).

Will it live long enough to get something in its rear arc is the question, but I see your point

Just needs to get close enough to 3 Tallon or 4K someone into arc then blue slow boat + reinforce rear until they end up range 1. If the target over shoots and ends up front arc it is still 4 dice. Getting the rear arc set up isn't hard. :)

Yo list one looks nicely balanced. Mods all around, an ace, a tank, and a controller, free movement

yeah, thats sort of what i was going for. 0-0-0 on BH could be switchd for l3-37 on Palob but it really depends what u expect their target priority to be and how you use the list.

imo a balanced list is one that creates an element of doubt for your opponents target priority. Actually flying the list a bit should tell me the right way to go.
