Idea behind LW Han is you roll up, take an evade, attack, anything below average you Han, LW a blank, Kanan the Focus and max out more times than not. LW isn't needed for defense very often, only when you have to boost and not take the evade so you still get two rerolls on defense.

Lando would save you points and, being rerollable, is likely to get you plenty of what you need

Put in Lando and take out Kanan, now I need Engine Upgrade. Doesn’t solve anything really. When I boost I lose out on the mini focus too.

Nice, always like trying to make thematic competitive. And I agree that LW/Kanan is a match made in heaven, though I've been using it one Dash.

One small change I'd suggest is lose the Falcon title in the interest of Hotshot gunner. I think that'd improve your list's durability (Luke included) more than the conditional second re-roll.

That’s what I’ve been considering actually. The problem I come across is that’s the only way Han gets the evade action ?

Lando instead of R2 maybe? ?

I'm recently returned to the game after a long break and my whole group is playing catch up. That out of the way..

Your build looks fantastic in a faction that otherwise looks pretty meh to me.

It seems R2 and kanan are both mandatory. But for the sake of academics, whats your thoughts on this build:

-trick shot, kanan, lando, shield, title?

Its more dice dependent, so potentially less durable than R2. However rerolling lando (do I read that right?!) means hes also potentially more durable on the front end via greater access to evades/focus plus 1 more shield to start. And still double rerolls on the defense. If your not hooked on double rerolls then the title might not even be necessary which frees up points for.. Idk what. Just brainstorming now..

Either way I might steal this list to get my brother back into the game.

Won first game with Luke in the end game after Han got clogged up with some bumps. Luke finished off Boba and took care of a quad in the end game. Make sure to kill Palob fast.

Won second game. Killed Palob fast again. Was aware of Boba’s double boost and proton Torp’d him first turn. Luke took three shots, (R2 from boba and a tug and R3 from a tug and died. When in doubt don’t get shot and avoid it if possible. Han versus Boba in end game. Han won it, again avoid shots if possible, Boba can still shoot long range.

I spread Han & Luke out and make him make a choice. He didn’t decide, so I made sure each move with both Han & Luke had an out just in case and played the when in doubt, head out. Play patient and don’t get frustrated.

I spread Han & Luke out again. Got a torp and a range 3 shot from Han off. Don’t get frustrated if torp doesn’t do much. Every damage counts especially damage done for no damage back. Chipped away at both throughout the game. Took Luke out of the fight to repaid some damage cards from a bomb and Han soaked the other prox mine. Always always dial in the safest move for if a Proton Bomb gets T-Simmed for Luke.

Here’s some quick notes I took on my phone for the games so far with the new list. (T) means Tourney, (P) means practice.

Just this weekend I tried a variation on your list, the only difference being R2 astromech vs your R5. I really agree with you about Han not needing a whole lot of upgrades, just good positioning and well timed actions. Being able to boost and still have a small mod is great, or to at least have the dual function of Kanan available (well worth his points!). The only change I am considering is dropping Trick Shot, because I have noticed that with the large base there are a lot of times that it does not trigger because of the leading or trailing corners being out past the obstacle. Other than that, I think practice and patience are all one needs to effectively fly these two.

•Luke Skywalker - 89

Yeah I’ve been debating on the droid. Have kept R5 on to prevent Damage Engine and Structural, but R2 is probably better. Need some more games to see.

If Trick Shot goes off twice a game I’m happy pretty much. 1 pt well spent.

What did you face and how’d it go?

The first game I played was vs Crackshot Ptorp Wedge/ Super Luke/ Trickshot Sabine. I had some good positioning mid game, but ended up losing Han when Wedge/Sabine cornered him. I was trying to keep his ability active and went to far into the corner and got caught. Totally my fault for that positioning. On top of that I got Panicked Pilot crit near the end which kept me from bank/boosting away from the sabine/Wedge kill box.

The second game was vs Boba/IG/Zuvio and I only lost two shields on both of my ships. It was a game vs a newer player though, so my experience was compounded quite a bit. That said, it was nice to be able to evade with both ships and limit incoming damage, and Han just boosted around as needed to avoid shots.

Yeah, Panicked Pilot On Luke or Han really sucks. Reason why I love Kanan in the list because it will at least let you do hard turns and still clear stress.

I was having that same conversation with another local player, and I was expressing how much value Kanan really is! Having double us out of him is so worth the 14 points vs engine upgrade.

Played against the above for Round 2 of the UVX TTS Tourney. Video will be on Hexiled Gaming soon I'm sure. Pretty much lined up Han to only ever get a shot from his Han and baited with Luke the entire time. Luke didn't die until last shot of the game, but I managed to kill Palob, the Gunrunner, and half of his Han. Won 111-88.

You don't really need Kanan. Take Cybernetic Implants for the one dire situation where you need to do something to save the day/get you back in the game and save yourself 9 points. How often did you really need his ability other than his force point?

Ran Han, Cybernetic Implants and Trick shot with Wedge and Thane, both with Marksmanship and bossed it tonight.

Fattening Han is a trap. Give yourself space for a third ship. 2 big hitters are fun, but 4 ship lists will eat them up as they only need to concentrate on 2 targets.

Kanan is well worth the points and you use his ability a lot with boosts, debris, and friendly’s.

I’d also rather have Super Luke than any two ship combo Rebels have.

Round 3 last night of the UVX Tournament. Audio is bad and off for first 24 minutes. Couldn’t figure out why so I turned it off. Had twitch in my internet browser going saw was looping lol.

4-0 in the UVX Tournament! Top 4 is next week!

Congrats Quack Shot!

I put together a version of this that is identical to your first iteration, only with Inertial Dampeners instead of the title. It adds another option for dodging arcs and also improves the bid significantly. Also thinking about dropping Lone Wolf for Trick Shot and a full 10 point bid.

I’ve been thinking about going back to R2-D2, but Jyn with Luke is so clutch when they prioritize Luke first. Torps are also so nice to get either ship the end game they want. I’m still considering going to 192 for the bid and run no droid.

Beat Palob/4-Lom/kavil again tonight. Used R2 Astro, think it is the better call.
