If you take a pilot with force ability at has a way of using it on the card and you can add a force upgrade = 2 Force abilities.

Surely taking a non Force pilot and adding a Force ability crew should also allow an extra Force upgrade.

E.g. Fat Han with Luke should allow Sense or Heightened Perception allowing the expensive Luke upgrade to be used in an alternative way.

Kannan on a U-Wing etc is another example.

Adding a crew, whether or not it grants +1 Force, does not add a Force Power slot. If you are making a suggestion that FFG adds a crew card that adds a Force Power slot, that is probably better suited to the general X-Wing forum instead of the Squad Builder forum.

You completely missed the whole point of force upgrade slot. The force upgrade slot is a pilot upgrade that is to take the place of an elite pilot talent. One of the major problems with 1st edition is that the EPT slot became so important that a pilot without it was fairly weak in the meta. This splits up the pilot selection so that an EPT might not be the end all for any pilot.

So unique non-force pilots get the Talent, while force pilots get the Force upgrade slot. Crew with force adds force tokens but not slots. Do you really thing having the Han crew give your Outer Rim Smuggler an EPT Slot? That makes no sense.
