So I’ve had a beige Falcon in my collection for a while now... and I haven’t managed to mix the right secondary color to make the **** thing match my Auzitucks.

I just invested in some cheap paints to take a second swig at the thing (having used borrowed paints previously), and I absolutely can’t get the darker brownish color from the Auzitucks mixed out of my paints.

Any tips? Honestly at this point if somebody knows of a matching paint in existence I’d be willing to fork over for a more expensive brand for this one...

Don't know what you mixed already, but brown can be achieved by using complementary colors, like red/green, orange/blue. Using black or white for toning often also changes the intensity of the color, making it feel grayish

Ever tried your local store? We have a games workshop store in town, the guys there are amazing when it comes to painting tips.

Maybe I’ll check in with one... not a bad idea.

I had some trouble with the base tan for a while, eventually figuring out it was more yellow than I expected? But I guess I’m missing something from the other color. I mostly tried starting with tan, adding a touch of brown to darken it, and some red to get it a little closer, then added yellow, blue, more red, more tan or brown, feeling like I was getting closer but still just missing it. Maybe the color is a little more gray than I thought? But the one time I tried adding black it was too much and made it mostly gray...

Another thought: when you get close but don't reach it, paint both ships in your color.

Since this will take quite some amount, make sure to take notes on how to mix it

Considered it, but there’s no way I could match the level of design on the Auzituck with my design experience.

I’m okay if they’re not exactly identical, I just can’t get close enough .
