Track position after wildlings victory

By anderruiz, in A Game of Thrones: The Board Game

According to the rules when a wildlings victory occurs, the track should go down two "positions". I've always played assuming "positions" is equivalent to "spaces", i.e. if the original strength was 10, after their victory, it will change to 6. However after playing Dance with dragons expansion and discussing Mance Rayder card I reviewed the rules and discovered that whenever they speak about positions in the wildings track they name then as position "2", position "4"... at the same time when a westeros card with wildlings icons appears, the track is moved by one space (not position)

So now my question is, when the wildlings win should the track be reduced in two positions (10->8) or in two spaces (10->6)?

Is the question clear? I'm speaking about how much power do the Wildlings lose when they win the battle...

I've always played it as moving back two spaces (so 10 to 6), however the wording can mean either way. Have you tried asking on BGG?

cheers

I've just posted a question :). Thanks for your reply!
