That's my understanding. If you need to free your hands up, you can do so by taking a direct damage as a free action. Or just wait it out and let it soak one for you.

That was my reading of it too. It'd be interesting to see it pop up in the a scenario with enemies that only deal sanity damage. In some ways, it is almost a boon for non-hand user mystics and seekers in that respect.

When we’re creating it, Matt let it slip that what we’re proposing was going to be a mechanic, but he didn’t go into detail. I hope they tweak it and improve it. For being attached to it, I think it is an underwhelming card, as is.

Ho boy, I feel sad for Guardians with that new weakness!
