Simple question, does becoming Incapacitated (by either wound threshold or strain threshold) end ongoing effects from force powers? I am inclined to assume it does, but it doesn't state if it does or not anywhere in RAW. Has this ever been clarified?
Ongoing Effects and being Incapacitated
Most Force power ongoing effects become a moot point once the target's been incapacitated, so can't say that it's something that's ever really come up.
After all, add a free success to an ally's next skill check doesn't really matter if that ally's unconscious and won't be making any skill checks. Or that your target will be disoriented for multiple rounds from using Bind+Strength Upgrades if the target's not going to be taking any actions due to incapacitation.
That next skill check might be the end of encounter check to recover strain and wake up!

It might be splitting hairs, but the strain recovery isn't an action, since it takes place out of structured encounter time. So it's debatable about whether the free success from Battle Meditation or the setbacks from Disorient applied by Bind+Strength Upgrade would be applicable to that check. But if you're going to allow the one, then you'd need to enforce the other.
The reason it's relevant in this case is in relation to the Strength upgrade for the Endure power that can prevent death as long as a force die remains committed. In that case it is very much not a moot point because if a character under that effect ends all ongoing effects when they are incapacitated, they would immediately die upon being incapacitated.
I certainly allow Force dice committed to Healing Trace to remain in effect even when WT is exceeded. The talent is already weak enough, so I've even considered allowing this to be done after Incapacitation occurs. It's not like Hard Headed doesn't already set a precedent for allowing an Action when one should not be possible.

Okay, committed Force dice is a different story than Force effects such as Bind and Battle Meditation.
Going by the rules for committing Force dice starting on page 281 of F&D (most recent version of the Force rules), there's nothing that says a character who is unconscious or otherwise incapacitated (whether it be by exceeding their wound or strain threshold or some other effect that knocks them out) has their Force dice automatically uncommitted. So based on that, I'd say any affect where the PC committed one or more of their Force dice remains in effect until the player chooses to uncommit them.
So in the case of Endure and even Healing Trance, I would say the PC is fine and won't have those abilities "switched off" just from going unconscious.

Hmm, well it's not actually for a PC, it's for a NPC opponent who's got a Darth Sion kind of thing going on. They're meant to be a 'puzzle boss' who the PCs need to use Suppress against to defeat, forcing them to un-commit the force die keeping them alive.
Thanks for the feedback though, it's probably for the best that the challenge can't be overcome simply by dropping them like any other enemy.
On pg 222 F&D in the bottom bar Incapacitated means the character is unconscious and may no longer act. This strongly implies that they are no longer able to do anything let alone maintain a Force Power or Talent. However, NPCs are not the same as PCs so the GM can if they choose have a Force Power work on a plot level that is unavailable to a Player.
What I suggest is asking the Devs because this isn't a minor issue and could cause conflict at the table.
