Theorizing and maybe wishful thinking here. 2017 got us Force Awakens Starters. 2018 got us OT starters. Following the pattern, 2019 would be Prequel starters. Additionally, with no new content coming out late 2018 for either OT or ST, and with the final season of Clone Wars coming, this may not be a bad time for PT.

From what I've seen, CW is better liked by the fans than the PT was, so if we get CW boxes my guesses for characters are: Obi-wan or Ahsoka and Rex or Cody. And for Villains: Count Dooku or Ventress and Super Battle Droid

If we get more of a traditional PT theme, I could see Anakin or Mace Windu and Clone Officer. With the Villains having Dooku or Darth Maul and Battle Droid Officer or Super Battle Droid.

Thoughts? Are these accurate? Is PT/CW totally off? What would you like/think we will see?

If we had a movie in December I would take money on the characters being in that movie.

I would like to see those iconic pairings get some play, just some examples that come to my mind: Han/Luke, Han/Chewie, Luke/Leia, Darth Vader/Tarken, Darth Vader/Palpatine and even Boba/Jaba. We could also throw in Snoke/Kylo and Rey/Finn, Rey/Han or Chewie/Maz.

4 dice potential Chirrut and Baze would be nice. However, Hero and Villain are probably support focused characters as a guess.

I suspect you're correct about the Prequel-era theme of the next set. That would coincide well with the Prequel-era wave of X-Wing ships (and Armada too?) being released in the first quarter next year, as well as the new Separatist sourcebook for the RPG.

As for what characters the starters might focus on, the Boba Fett starter shows us they won't necessarily be main characters. I'd bet on an Anakin/Obiwan deck though. (Quigon/Obiwan would be awesome, but I kinda doubt they'd go for that.) The other might be Maul/Grevious or something. I can't see them using both Sith apprentices (i.e. a Maul/Dooku deck), and for marketing purproses if they only feature one I'd bet they prefer to use Maul. Who knows though.

I am not sure they care too much about Armada anymore, but maybe Legion with Clone War stuff.

They usually are 2 colors so just blue probably won't do(small sample size though so could be wrong).

But My bet as far as prequel starters go is that it'd be Obiwan/Padme to do for heroes. I could see them do a new young Darth Vader and a villain clone trooper for villains.

Padme is a good candidate. I could imagine a red or yellow version to run aside a (blue) clone war Anakin.

Villain side could be a Darth Maul and Viceroy for some cool nefarious scheming alongside light sabre violence.

Or a new Jango, but he has no natural partner.
