Ackbar Intensified TRCs

Wanted to make a fleet that gives out consistent damage.

I tried a variant using AF mark 2s you get super consistent damage unfortunately I flew too close to the opponent's ISD BT Avenger. And an assualt frigate without defense tokens evaporates in the front arc of an ISD 1.

I would drop the Pelta for a transport and slap Intel Officer on all the trc 90s

The pelta is there to make this a Snipers list aka using intensify fire to guarantee hits in addition to the garunteed double hit from TRCs

What is the chance of rolling 3-4 blanks? He has Home One and TRCs.

For red dice pretty high especially with all the extra red dice being adding with ackbar

Basically, my plan is to have the CR90s never miss. With 3 red from a side arc, I will get at minimum 3 damage and an Accuracy. It's not a lot of damage, but it's enough to plink away, and the Assault Cruiser can handle the bigger targets.

  • Probability of a red die to roll a blank or an accuracy: 0.375
  • Probability of three red die to all roll blanks or accuracies : 0.375^3 = 0.05

Since we're using Ackbar, you're likely only getting one shot out of the side for each ship. This means that each ship will likely only use IF once per turn, and likely only on 4-5 turns. So the cases in which you need TRC, IF, and HO are going to be few and far between. The ship that needs IF's help the most is the Pelta.

Your 'plink' damage from the CR90's are at odds of your MC80's XI7's (mostly in regards to large ships). The small ships damage will be redirected, so the XI7's may end up not doing a whole lot if your ships are focusing fire. Maybe consider QBT to give you reroll access at long range.

Hadn't thought of that, since my plan with the HO Accuracies was to target Braces.

You could also just drop them and switch to Defiance + Engine Techs or EWS.

If you want more ability to hurt and soak damage on the MC80, take defiance over H1, put Lando on it, and take both ECM and EWS.

I've rolled 5 blanks and 3 accs with 8 red dice once. I don't believe in math.

I think bail would be a fine addition on home one... He allows you to build to 400 and not really care whether you go first or second... He's a really good defensive/offensive upgrade as second player... And heck, if by putting him in my 400 point fleet some opponents make me go first then even better...

It’s a strong type of list. I have run it in the past with the MC80, 2X Tr90, a flotilla, and a squad screen.

Don’t ditch Home One. This type of list is essentially the one (400 point) list where it outshines Defiance. If you face fleets without ECM, Home One makes the damage from the CR90s super effective.
