If Han has missiles, can he potentially have a 270 arc by setting the turret to the sides and shoot the missiles from the front arc?
This creates a nice arc to keep your opponents in sight.

It does, but it should only ever come into play if you screw up your positioning.
Yeah, I think most of us think of this as a "whoops, didn't expect you to do that" tool.

As an aid against squirrely arc dodgers or as a finisher on a target sure. Homing (guaranteed 1, potential 4 damage) or Ion missiles (if they connect decently you'll be able to line up your turret next round) might be a decent option (don't bother with prockets on a large base, the Bullseye is even harder to get lined up with than on a medium, turns are too fat). Not something to focus on as your mainstay though.
I could see a use for homing missiles here, cause you are I6 and your 2 dice wont do **** to Soontir or Fenn, etc. from range 3. Then again, you probably shouldn't be pointed in a jousting position directly at Fenn Rau.

Yep, I was looking at that same thing. It's 3 point deterrent to keep high agility/defensive ships honest.
Ah, I was not aware that you can still shoot missiles out of the front arc while keeping your turret facing side to side. That actually makes the YT-1300 with an imposing 270 shooting arc.
Same thing with a Decimator and a Torp
