This one was informative and quite entertaining.
Just send your friend to the Gold Squadron page on YouTube to see all kinds of 2.0 games.
Dion is a great ambassador for the game.
Gold squadron is great for live streaming games, but I was wondering if anyone has found any YT'er that has decent production value while editing down the chaff.
What I mean by that is during the break between 1E and 2E's launch, I went back to Warmachine, and there is a YT' WarGamerGirl who does some awesome editing of videos, cutting out the dead air and chaff while keeping an explanation of what is going on during the game. This cuts hour+ long games down to like 30+ minutes without losing important information about what is happening. Unlike other people who just shoot the complete game, x2 the speed and talk over it (which I do not like), WGG puts a good bit of editing and production value into the vids.
Like, you could cut out all the time spent with people spinning dials, leaning over the table, spinning the dials some more, etc. and still have good videos. Guerrilla Miniature Games is another one I watch that edits out a lot of wasted air saving time, but I don't quite like his handheld shakey-cam style.
Anyone know any X-Wing YT's that put decent editing and production into the videos?
Edited by kris40kTrinity Squad Gaming used to do great videos where they edited out the planning phases and had detailed overlays with dice results, current statuses etc. Sadly the channel has been defunct for some time now, well before 2.0 was even announced, but if being 1.0 isn't a dealbreaker, look their channel up.
Frog Squadron gyroscopic mounted iPhone filmed with removed chaff as requested. So far there are only two 2.0 demo games and they're a bit slower because the goal was to get the players and viewers to grips with the second edition:
But here's an example of a 1.0 game distilled down to about 40 minutes featuring yours truly in a final game of a tournament (back in the end of July):
Stay tuned for more covered 2.0 games
