Guess it's time to start quoting an entire thread so it's "brand-new..."

Which just goes to show that there are some official eyes from FFG who see thread after thread of "Is our game dead? It's dead, isn't it? Why won't FFG give us even a throw away article to let us know they know that Armada is still a game?!?" and they just pass those threads right over, time after time, apparently. Granted, I know FFG isn't keen to engage in forum discussions, but you'd think at the very least the poor forum mods would eventually be like "uhh, hey everyone, you know those Armada guys are miserable and despondent and desperate... right? Can you just thrown them an article or something, maybe? A Tweet that says that Armada is beloved and not forgotten? Anything? Nope? Ok..."

But, since we haven't gotten anything from FFG regarding Armada in almost a year other than "BEHOLD SSD!" taking up about 12 seconds of their In Flight Report... I'm starting to get into camp "The SSD is one last cash-out before letting the line die."

Maybe @AllWingsStandyingBy there isn't a developer who champions Armada in the meetings, and that's why we aren't getting any articles or frequent expansions?

I hope that there is a developer who loves the game and fights for Armada every chance he or she gets, but it doesn't feel like there is a highly motivated person behind Armada's wheel.

Why do you think they're not motivated? Genuinely curious. How many articles do you want? And how often? And what should they talk about? Because there ISN'T much to talk about really.

If the complaint is that we know nothing about the SSD..... So? We know it's coming, we know they'll do 1-2 preview articles, and we know we'll get them as we get closer to the release date.

If the complaint is that there's nothing to talk about, then create a GOOD topic. How can I get the most out of X commander, how can I beat this one build that keeps winning (looking at YOU, @BrobaFett), is Leia TOO good (yep!)?

We can all keep being saaaaad forever emo kids that I don't know anything new about the SSD today... Or we can turn off the Morrissey and make the forums worth coming to.

I have made threads to lift the forum's mood, but most of them have fallen to threads like these.

As for ideas like "How to use Commander X" I would be very late to the party. Plenty of good advice on your blog already like how to use Raiders. ?

Interesting to note that I think Armada is a bit unique in that it's never had a dedicated team of developers on the project? Whereas we know from their many interviews and podcast appearances and product credits that Alex & Frank were the development team for X-Wing from around Waves 3+ (later also adding Max), and that Alex is the designer of Legion, I don't know who at FFG has been heading the Armada ship for which products. It may be that Armada doesn't have a dedicated 'development team' per se, I suppose.

Though I guess this could be a feature of Armada not having the 'press' that other games have enjoyed, so we don't get to peek behind the curtain as often as we do with X-Wing, for instance, thus giving the impression that Armada doesn't have any staff explicitly dedicated to it?
