Prince and Ventala release article

That "meh" card there will become really troublesome if your slippery, low initiative unit can not outmanuver my flanking Leonx Riders.

I’ve been waiting for a couple of cards that would make a green reroll strategy interesting. That looks like it would definitely do the trick.

I was mainly just trying to be comedic with the meh. It's an okay upgrade, but not nearly as exciting compared to a potential 3 armor darnarti or archer unit. (4 if I have shield wall?)

Since my main opponent is usually Uthick, immobilize just does not have the same impact/value in my mind any more.

At range 3, I just don't see too many applications for this, especially against so many other equipment upgrades like tempered.

There are units that can outmaneuver Leonx Riders?

Lord vorenthull

So looking at hedge shroud, this is exactly the kind of card I've been waiting for to make overgrow cool. In an army that has 3 unit types at 1 armor this card beats shield wall any day so long as runes are decent and you keep positioning in mind.

Bolo nets is neat but I wish it weren't a discard for a skill action. Still highly viable.

Side note, ventala come with two of each upgrade so they essentially threw in a booster pack for the whole army, pretty great!

Darnati/Greenwatch Herald ought to automatically be able to set up their own Hedge Shroud regardless of how the terrain falls. I think the difficulty in the current deployment set-up is that two of the deployments are two obstacles total, and Maelstrom's two dangerous means you might have obstacles you don't want to be too close to. So it is probably helpful to find a way to set up Hedge Shroud naturally.

Green naturally averages 1.5, which isn't bad. I also ran a calculation on flipping aggressively toward green with Malcornes. You'll be at two or three 80% of the time.

Finally, raising that 1 armor on the Ventala themselves might be the best use of Hedge Shroud. It seems to be an upgrade that screams for defending against just the one attack per round, and it seems to me that the Ventala are dodgy enough to duck out of a lot of melee, but might need to shrug off some ranged fire.

Bolo net/vicious root scions.

Have fun getting by them :)

That has occurred to me...

Warpsrinter ho!

Until that ***** Scion manages to fire a ranged attack next turn and apply a stun too

Or more realistically: Shoot at init6 on turn two, apply stun and immbolize. Then skill early on turn 3 and apply another immobilize while armoring up.

And this is why I don't believe in immobilize...gimme more stuns!

What is that mount ?

As best I can tell it’s a CAD model rejected from Jurassic Park.

The preview makes it look like a war-chicken, but the model itself looks more like a feathered raptor

It's part of his self-imposed penance for his earlier failure.

Cyrssaerele. I'll let you figure out how to pronounce it. We at the Runecasters podcast couldn't quite make sense of it.

Fonzarelli?

Cyrssaerele - Seer-zay-eh-rell-ah

That's my guess lol

This may be my Latin bias, but I always do AE as the AI in aisle. I suppose a lot of fantasy languages use the Gaelic AE as well.

seer-sai-re-ley

U almost like a long I, ae diphthong, short e, long e.

Even if it is representing a foreign language, it still should follow correct English orthography. So AE should have two dots on the E if intended as two separate syllables, unless of course they were just lazy.

I read anything I don't know phonetically, however, I know nothing about linguistics.

I think I like your version more anyway.

That's how my Latin teacher taught me to pronounce Æ (ae) but I've never met anyone else who pronounces it that way, so I'm very excited that you do.

Wierd. I’ve always heard that AE as equivalent to “ee”

So for me, I read it as:

Seer-seer-ell

Sear-sayr-el

And +1 on the Latin. It's also how Scandinavian languages handle it, afaict.

I was talking to Brookes at worlds about faolans mount and he said it this way. Apparently it's the name of the species. He was also not 100% on the pronunciation.

I read it: Cyr ß ä rele
