The rest of Uthuk will be purchasable at Worlds! (But not legal)
But I notice that the Latari units are still showing as shipping, not in stores yet, which it was anticipated they would be. So unless that's yet to be updated, there's no guarantee the Latari will be legal, either.
They usually take two weeks, I expect Latari to say in stores tomorrow, which is > 11 days from Worlds.
Addressing Latari legality for worlds:
Yeah. Our local store notified Jukey that his arrived and are available for pickup come Thursday. It’s happening.
Regarding Uthuk legality for worlds:

Im going to be a salty ****er when I get my Wednesday phone call saying that my preorder is in and I’ll have them available on Thursday after I have left for worlds.

Yeah it's a bummer not to see Viper Legion. That's the biggest miss. The other two.. fine..

Viper or Gorgemaw. Either one would have been priceless for worlds.

My FLGS says they will be in tomorrow. But then again they got Baron Z and Lord V two weeks after they were released ?
I love this! Base factions finally rounded out. Most everywhere I’ve seen has the Latari pegged for tomorrow.
I’m waiting on Jukey to get his boxes to find out what (if anything) hasn’t been revealed yet

I'm waiting on me to get my boxes for the same thing! First thing tomorrow at the crack of noon.
We’re hosting a casual tournament this weekend and it looks like I’ll be able to put the new latari on the table.
Whilst I am glad that Uthuk releases are near, I am also glad that they will not be used at Worlds.
Uthuk have been quite strong presently and I am looking forward to seeing how they close out the season with their current "meta" before adapting.
I am also eager to see were the salt mines re-open. Will it be Spined Threshers and Scuttling Horror still or will it be Lord Vorunthal and his 50/50 mind game/teleport/melee into a shift/regenerating/brutal 3/teleport into/out and through terrain shenanigans.

Through is tricky, as most terrain is wide enough that he can't do much more than clip the corners. (And if he enters it on movement, his turn ends, so he can't pop out of it that turn.)

Uthuk were strong for a while, but has there been any data from tournaments post all other factions getting unit5 and hero3? At least locally, Uthuk are having a really rough time. A complete lack of any trick besides “facepunch” has left them with a hard time acclimating to new tactics available to other factions.
Im not sure I care about the “meta” as this season closes. The available units will literally change 3 days before worlds and will change 11 days after. This 2-week meta isn’t meaningful.
Nobody is going to look at Waiqar and scream that they are OP, even with LordV. Daqan will always be strong but their playstyle doesn’t possess any real NPEs for others except for watching their entire army activate at init2 and init3. Latari possess some super maneuver shenanigans that will cause NPEs. But the well has been poisoned for Uthuk with Threshers and I dont see any other faction taking that salty crown away unless Uthuk become laughably underpowered.
Also, I’m actually a fan of new releases before major tournaments. I think a good measure of a lot of top players is their ability to adapt to the unknown quickly. Adapting mid-game even if necessary. Major upheaval in the meta 2-4 weeks out from worlds is a neat way to test that. Players must choose to bring the new and Shiny - hoping they mastered it before or better than others - or to bring the tried and tested and attempt to learn correct counter play with what they know
What I am not a fan of is going into a major tournament with one faction significantly behind on options and releases (even accidentally as this is).

Just a note, I don't believe Vorun'thul can use his transformation ability to enter terrain. The only way to enter terrain is by resolving a collision, and the only way to resolve a collision is with a march or shift.
As a minor consolation, the new Uthuk should be legal for the team game, as only the main event at World's is a premier level; all the side events are casual.

Whilst I agree that testing a players "adaptability" before a tournament is good in theory, it's not good when that means that two weeks before a major tournament, you need to either go with what you have and risk being "out-powered" by the new stuff or drop GBP£105 on the new units, get them built and then pray you got it right after you have already spent X on going to the event.

Uthuk still wins consistently in the UK. Despite not having access to anything put smashmouth tactics. The only problem unit is Lord V and the fact there comes a point where you cannot do any damage to him.

Don't get me wrong, no one will be screaming Waiqar OP, not unless they released Waiqar himself. I still think they are the weakest, slowest, over-costed and most useless faction in the game to date, however they have the most overpowered, shiny hero at the moment that in our games single handily destroys armies.
Best example, in one game:
The Reanimates didn't engage a single unit.
The Archers fired once.
The Death Knights didn't swing and died.
The Carrion Lancer didn't swing and died.
Lord V on the other hand managed to do 77 points of damage and secure the win.
Isolated incident? Maybe. But the fact he can ignore damage from all 1 x 2, 1 x 3 and 2 x 2 (barring tempered steel, a perfect roll and/or a hit enhancer on the 2 x 2) units, ignores damage from a 2 Unstable Fire Rune attack completely and regenerate lost wounds, he is what makes Waiqar competitive.
Personally, I still think Latari are the best army in the game. They have access to everything and can seriously take on all comers. Even more so now that a single Deepwood unit can double stun and immobilize you in one attack.

Unfortunately, just like Prince F and the Darnati Warrior "Re-rollgate", this needed putting in the FAQ but was missed out.
The card says
"place your unit within range ..."
. The way I understand it, that means ANYWHERE, even terrain that he can occupy. He can teleport out of it without performing a march or shift action so the same principle works with the other skill. Both have the same wording. I am happy to play it so that he cannot do either however, really happy because as funny as it is to watch him 360 no-scope engage people, it's also really hard to block.
Sadly, this is going to be debated and eventually agreed by the forum until another year goes by and FFG updates the FAQ.

What is the build for this?
47 minutes ago, Xquer said:What is the build for this?
3 x 2 Deepwood:
Front line Scion (Stun - Exhaust after attacking)
Dreamweaver Sorc (Stun - Skill - Exhaust)
Bolo Net (Immoblizing - Exhaust after attacking)
56points
13 minutes ago, Viktus106 said:Bolo Net (Immoblizing - Exhaust after attacking)
Bolos are skill to use, discard after use, so you can't use them with Dreamweaver, unless you have some way to fit simultaneous orders in there.

3 x 2 can fit sim orders. People already use Fire Rune and Storm Sorc combo. This is just a control version.
So 58 points then.
Deal potential 6 damage, two stuns and an immobilized token.
Not bad.
Now you just need a Latari Memorial and Prince F to provide enough Inspiration tokens.

Got it, thanks.
If you have Meagan you can then also add Blackthorn so then it becomes: blight, two stuns, and an immobilize.

Yeah definitely agree on this point. I feel I would not have been as bothered if the Prince and Ventala were illegal or if the vipers at least were valid.
