Well, not exactly. I said in an earlier post that Cal is my top suspect. To break it down, I suspect the scum are one of these two groups:

1. Caldias
2. Jabba
3. Matt

or

1. Ebon
2. Pod
3. Madaghmire

BUT CV could easily replace one of those three. He's obviously hard to read, since he hasn't said much.

Haha what if Bertie put one of each of his scum buddies in each group how great would that be.

The strongest argument I’ve seen against Cal is that he winds up rolling scum a lot. Which, while accurate in my experience, is also a terrible argument. I cant decide if its town grasping at straws or scum shading percieved easy prey. Im going to wait for cal to respond substantively as he said he would in his last post.

Pod has been unchacteristically quiet this round.

As I write this Matt drops a vote on Bertie. Bertie is a difficult read for me right now. There have been a few unforced errors (call to no-vote, misattributed actions) but I’m not sure I see scum in them. Matts theory that he may be covering by splitting the remainder of the scum faction over two pools has merit, although im of the opinion that three scum is a lot for ten players, So unless I missed something in the setup post, I dont believe thats likely whats going on. If bertie is scum, that post could simply be a way to appear to be scumhunting without giving anything of substance. As stated, its not like he actually narrowed the field.

Matt reads town to me ths far, I read him as genuinely scumhunting.

Ebon on initial read seems the same, although the weaksauce argument on Cal is mildly concerning, depending on how I feel abouts Cals alignment. I need to reread his imteractions with Matt/Pod/Bertie.

Don't you remember last game, when I suspected literally everyone but GNIP? Never claimed to be a good guesser.

Caldias and Ebon are my top two suspects, but I don't think they are both scum (Ebon has been accusing Cal recently), hence my two groups.

I would also like to hear from Caldias and CV before I vote.

I would like to hear from @PodRacer on why he voted for me and then bolted. Even Ebon was puzzled.

Here are my thoughts:

The Clon Voters

So for me, I think Ebon is looking pretty shady. He's been fairly aggro on myself, Bertie, and Jabba for what I don't feel is a very compelling argument. I reread the Jabba/Bertie/Me posts as objectively as I could and I am not seeing how it could be read as some rehearsed screed. I was merely responding to Bertie's speculation, then he responded back. With that and somehow not checking the night kill before accusing LTD, well, it all adds up to be a bit suspicious.

I think Bertie could go either way. His post of listing suspects seems to contribute but it really adds up to nothing as he just accused everyone, depending on what group you fall on, which doesn't really do much to narrow the field. He also doesn't really offer much in the way of reasons for his suspicions that could be scummy to me.

Pod doing the vote-and-scoot is kind of weird. He could possibly have information based off his role? Or he could just be Podding around. Or could be scum. Even odds town/scum for me

I agree that Matt is probably the most town due to his posts seem to be genuinely looking for scum.

Jabba doesn't seem that scum to me, either, and mostly is responding to Ebon's accusations. He hasn't done anything to make me think he is scum, but also hasn't really done any reads other than defending against Ebon. Would like to hear more from him

The Non-Voters

Constantine Valdor is high on my list of suspects. He had fair enough reasons for not being around, but when he checked in he barely contributed and then bolted again.

Mads gave a decent reason for not voting and has good reads, but he always has a good reason/good reads for everything regardless of his role. He's a 50/50 scum or town for me.

If you object to the direction of someone’s reasoning that’s fine, but “finding dirt” is the whole point of this game and votes are some of the most concrete, impactful info available.

You’re under suspicion because you’ve been quiet. That’s literally the only reason, as I understand it. That’s fixable, and real life happens, but there’s kind of an unspoken convention that it’s a little red flag; not usually a killing offense, just a note. There are other people higher on everyone’s list rn, from what I can tell.

Not exactly, it means we can’t tell and the quiet player isn’t offering town a benefit beyond being alive. Since town will cut down their numbers by one player anyway, it’s more convenient to remove someone less likely to reveal information in the future than someone who could either slip up or become scanned and later vouched for/successfully protected/catch scum/etc. All else being equal, which it usually isn’t.

Well if Cal and Jabba were scum buddies, they could have easily both added their votes on and killed me now. So there goes my initial premise.

If Caldias is really scum, he is playing it really, really well. But he's no longer my top suspect. Pod may climb into that spot if he doesn't explain his most votes.
