By gmcc, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

Hello , so i bought the core box and try it but i feel so noob at this.. i dont even know what to do after reading the rule book and learn to play book. i dont know what to do after plotting studio in the first round :(

can someone help me or give me tips to get into this game ? i really love the idea and thematic and dont want to let go this game that easly..

btw is this going to be the last deluxe for the game ?

Hello,

if you have trouble understanding the rules, there are many well made explanatory videos in youtube which may help you.

Regarding your question: If i understood correctly, you don't know how to proceed after you collected all the clues in the study.

There are always 2 types of cards in play; the agenda deck and the scenario deck. The scenario deck represents your progress during the scenario. The topmost card always states your current objective and what to do if you have reached the objective. In your case, you are supposed to flip the scenario card and read the back of it once you have collected all clues. After reading the backside of scenario 1 (1b) you proceed to scenaro 2a, which again, will tell you how to proceed.

I hope that helped and feel free to ask

FFG's tutorial video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzliu_-xNNQ

You could also take a look through some of the Arkham Chronicle's early videos. For example video #007 deals with the Round Sequence and #011 with how Skill Tests work. The channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIvZZWhgHzy4Q0e-knq6rgg/videos

I feel confident in saying that it is very unlikely that this will be the last deluxe released for the game.

I too think they're not going anywhere with this game

By which I assume @Raahk means the game is sticking around, and not finished with deluxes. :D

Take The Lord of the Rings LCG (the only other co-op) as an example of where they may head with this franchise, in terms of eventual releases. Then relax, because the game has been out since April 2011 - it has 7 deluxe expansions, each starting off a new campaign, and 8 Saga deluxe expansions, which are self-contained campaigns, but are intended to be used in succession to recreate the whole Lord of the Rings arc.

Isn't it the way you say that? Did i mess up? :D

It's an odd construction. If someone said it to me I would ask them what they meant as I could take it either way.

"I am not going anywhere." Means I am here to stay (in a good way) or that I am in a dead end job type of situation and the future looks bleak. It's pretty contextual and needs more to explain what is meant.

Man what a useless phrase...

Hahaha, :)

You can also say something 'is not going anywhere' to indicate that it's dead and will not be making any advances or progress. For instance, this conversation is not going anywhere (to mean that you are just talking yourself in circles).

Basically it can mean what you mean (it's here to stay!), or the complete opposite, haha.
