What happens when a resolution of a scenario card forces me to take control of an ally(having the ally symbol bottom right) mid game and i already have one in play? i have to discard it?

Also what happens if in the same case the ally in play is also a story one with the symbol bottom right?

You discard the Ally in play if you are out of Ally slots. Even if the Ally in play is also a story asset.
