Don't mi ss that tournament rules now say your terrain cards can sum to 8!

I suppose that is for the new deployments that have fewer terrain pieces.

Maybe it's time to buy a second Kethra A'laak Hero Expansion. ;)

Heh. Buy 4. Spam Raider’s Tents like Rocks.

...

Or spam LordV’s terrain for a pretty rough blighted ground approach

Some other quick hit items:

Kethra does Not get surge for attacking at range

Ardus can Not use unique surge ability

Things I did not see:

Darnarti reroll/remove question

Vitaility tokens on seige upgrades

Things I did not consider:

Ravos ability doesn't work on in reserved scouts.

Was thinking about this, with the new box size you can't fit a terrain as large as the previous 6 tray shapes. Do you figure it's max 4 going forward?

With Uthuk existing? No thank you.

Although I see they did nerf flesh rippers a bit, there's still a lot of other terrain hoping shenanigans to be had.

The Flesh Ripper ruling was sort of known for a while.

Scuttling horror ruling was sensible.

Scout doesn’t penalize you in deployment as some players thought.

Very excited for the Scout change!

So would this mean Allianas redeployed leonx would be free of panic as well?

Oh! that's a good catch. My initial gut was to say no, but when I reread the text of the FAQ:

Quote

Units that have not yet been deployed do not gain a panic token from Ynfernael Presence

So since you're redeploying, they have essentially been deployed anew. I think there is enough wiggle room that you could argue either side, but for the moment, I am leaning towards that the panic gets removed when you redeploy.

What's the question on that?

I don't believe so since you deploy them and then redeploy them.

It's how you determine where it gets applied. Given the scenario of attacking spearmen with an embedded rune-golem. If you end up with 5 damage in the damage pool, this can equate to 5 spearmen wounds OR 1 golem wound and 1 spearmen wounds.

When do you get to spend that token? Probably after the attacker declares where the damage goes, so the attacker has to be careful.

Another example is if the wound is assigned to the aggressive cornicen. You declare it is ignored but I still have 4 more damage in my pool, can I use another one to take off the the aggressive figure or move on?

This timing can matter when the wound ignored keeps a rank going. Support scion can make this odd.

This was in another thread but I forget where, I do remember the question though and the phrase "not all wounds are equal"

Oh look! You can spend an accuracy to kill the middle siege unit in the front rank now! It really irked me that you couldn't kill the thing providing the most threat because it had two buddies on either side.

From what I understand, you can kill it as long as it wouldn’t break the unit up. Which works early in the game. If you get them down to one rank, my understanding is that you’ve missed you chance and have to kill those buddies?

They change it so you can break it up now even when down to just the front rank provided you spend the accuracy and the attacker chooses which tray replaces it.

Acc's are the key.

Yeah. Took me a moment to remember that “backmost rank” is your front rank when down to one rank.

So yeah, Snipe away and prioritize the siege of needed
