I had a battle, my first with assualt on Ulthaun, i was the HE and my oppenent was DE,

I think that these two races both have neat ways of playing, and I cannot wait to have more games with them.

In one part of the battle i was getting like 10 resources a turn and i had Illyriel (that one hero) on the field with spearmen, but the both had tactics that didnt allow them to attack, we both had one zone burning and 6-7 damage on another.

Anyway, i couldnt really do anything, i was pretty sure i was going to lose, but then i got that flames of the pheonix card and sent everything back to the hand, my oppenent didnt pay much attention to it, he just thought he would play them next turn and win.

Then BAM innovation to get three more resources, played the hero, spearmen and the initiate of saphery and attacked his kingdom.(I won)

needless to say It was a close game.

Nice, sounds balanced. I was assuming DE would be worst, maybe they lack of a reset card, like phoenix or verenna's. Can't wait to have my own copy.

Dark elves lack a total reset card, but they have extremly effective controll cards that are good cost, and all the -1 dealing stuff is sometimes better then raw damage.

i love both new races - both for their control freak tendencies. Dark Elves certainly seem to be more difficult to harness that power now in a deck, but the way they go about seems much more intersting to me. HE vs DE though, i think they did a great job of balancing them out, each playing on the weaknesses of the other, DE taking some aspects of their HE days and twisting it into something different

I'll solo play the new decks as packaged, to try them. And start creating my HE for the regionals.
