Just wanted to ask if cannons gains range bonuses as well since turrets get them too

Any secondary weapon without the little "missile" icon under the range requirements gets the bonus.

Is that a 2.0 change? Because from all i read in 1.0, cannons and turrets do not gain the range bonus when firing "point blank"..
