What’s your user name origin story?

I made this account before I started using the username I prefer now, VorpalPoolNoodle.

VPN, for short, I’m guessing ?

I earned the rank of Eagle Scout(top rank) 8 years ago in Boy Scouts. Worked really hard to get there, learning First aid, hiking, biking, etc. My troop number was 007. So I'm an Eagle Scout of 007 and proud to be one.

I always loved The Imperials in Star Wars, Grand Moff Tarkin was to me the epitomy of master villain (I would say anti-hero).

My very first D&D character way back in 1979 was a Lawful Evil Fighter/Magic-User named Baron Arem Heshvaun. Based on Grand Moff Tarkin.

I was lucky enough to write for the original Star Wars Roleplaying Game by West End Games in 1987, and in the games I run my main foil for the heroes was of course Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun. (Who actually found the means of funding for the Death Star without drawing the attention of the Senate.)

Fun Fact, I did not give Grand Moff Tarkin his first name, Wilhuff, I wish I had, but I at least help make it Canon.

I did give Admiral Ozzel, Major General Veers, and Colonel Yularen their first names.

Super cool! Any meaning or inspirations for the names choices?

Mine is my old AIM name ( RIP AIM, gone too soon)

I use my real people name, because it helps remind me not to be a scum bag to strangers online

Ok I play online MMORPGs such as WoW.

Back in the day, I played a game Called Asherons Call and our group had our base on some isolated islands which were named the Vasayen islands.

A few years down the line my normal character name was taken up as we started a new game...so I called myself Vayasen. I looked a few years later and realised I had mis spelt Vasayen....but since then on online games I have remained the mis spelt Vayasen.

It has been shortened that way on occasion, yes. I prefer Vorpal or Noodle as shorthand though.

Mine is a simple mash-up of two of my many favorite characters from Star Wars. After the Dark Horse Droids comic series I decided to make a picture of C-3PO in Mandalorian armor minus the helmet of course. That later became both my Xbox and PS gamertags.

Well this really funny thing happened in Sevastopol a while back

Not sure if anyone remembers this small, old card game from Decipher known as SWCCG (;)) but my handle back on their forums was DS-000-0, The Flight School Drop Out. Or something like that. :P

Over time (and depending on a site's allowing of certain characters), I've shortened it as need be. FSD = Flight School Dropout

I'm 6'8"

Marek, from Galen Marek, Vader's secret apprentice who ultimately helped to form the Rebel Alliance in the Legends continuity (Force Unleashed video game), coupled with Mandalore for the Mandalorians, a culture in Star Wars lore which I enjoy reading about. As a side bonus, the codename used by Vader's apprentice was "Starkiller", a name which he shared with a Mandalorian NPC which appeared in the Knights of the Old Republic video game, set 4000 years before the Battle of Yavin.

Obviously, both Starkillers were homages to Lucas' early Star Wars drafts, featuring Annikin Starkiller as the main hero, instead of Luke Skywalker. Still, I find either the Sith apprentice or the Mandalorian more entertaining Starkillers than the Death Star on Steroids from TFA....

I’ve always liked the idea of h*ll hounds, and also Norse mythology. So HelHound came about.

EDITED: Apparently H*ll gets edited on the forums. ?

Back in 95 I attempted to write a story while I was laid up recovering from a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus. The main characters where Rghrous and Azavander.

I still use Rghrous in some areas, it always entertains me when I google and get credit for a ice berg picture in my Flickr stream that I properly credit to the actually photographer and most people don’t. Because Rghrous was an a 1997 email account, it’s like 99% spam and I only use it for a couple specific things. So I created a newer account for game things with the Azavander handle. I use it for most game things now.

If I followed the same method I suppose my handle would be R2bacca... or maybe ChewieD2 would be better?
