Some upgrades are because I had the points, like the munitions fail safe. I have no need for a 4pt bid so I put it on lol

Originally I had Brath instead of Vermeil but I felt the urge to swap him for Vermeil just for this bad pun lol. And it ended up being rather deadly as all 3 can really make you hurt if you ignore them.

I feel like OS-1 would be better for this Vynder. You could trade the Ion Cannon and a bomb for ProTorps then on him.

Ion target.
Move in prep to where ioned target will move and lock.
Unload APTs.

OS-1 would only APT if it happens to show up. But on the same token my luck with Ions is unusual lately, i went from literally ionwalking someone across the table one game to NEVER getting more than 1 hit through, even against a 1agi target.

I was flying an OS-1 Vynder the other day and really liked it. Might fly it in a small tourney tomorrow. Lone Wolf, Proton Torps, FCS, Advanced Slam, 60 points. It's a different sort of ship. Ideally dash to a side, and kinda chase and unload torp after torp at range.

Anyhow, I kinda wonder if the ships are somewhat overloaded. When I see Sloane and Shield Upgrade in 3 ship lists, I wonder if there's some way to get a 4 ship list going.

  • Major Vynder (59 as above, or 60 with Lone Wolf, Proton Torps, FCS, Advanced Slam, OS-1)
    • Lone Wolf might be dubious in a 4 ship list, and cutting it doesn't seem too bad.
  • Major Vermiel (Darth Vader, 0-0-0) 66
    • Trip looks cool. He's wicked cost effective, and Vermiel likes to be up in people's faces to Jam, so getting more tokens or dealing extra stress should be potent and cheap. I'd also consider Composure on Vermiel. Missing a Jam and having no tokens seems bad.
  • Major Rhymer (Cluster Missiles) 39
    • So in my version, this guy got dramatically cut down, but he's got a 0-3 range on the clusters, which is kinda cool. TIE Bombers are never going to be too sturdy, so keeping them cheap seems wise to me.
    • Maybe Advanced Proton is still the way to go, or Barrage Rockets.
  • Alpha Squadron Pilot (-) 34
    • These little buggers seem like good blockers and can have a pretty serious punch if ignored. They move pretty fast with a Focus token due to Autothrusters.
    • Another thought would be one of the 30 point Inferno TIEs with a cheap Talent. Gideon Hask (with Crack Shot) can get a 3rd attack die against someone with a damage card, and you've got 3 other heavy hitters first or Seyn Marana (with Marksmanship) can toss out facedown damage cards, which can really add up and threaten some ships if left alone. They're the same Init 4 as everyone else.
  • 198-199 points, as written, but the general sense is here.

So this is a revised list and I am curious what I could use instead of sloane.

I noticed the way I have to fly Vynder is always off on his own so I gave him lone wolf, and I noticed after about 4 games Sloane almost never helped anyone except Vermeil so I think I need to swap her out.

Nobody ever dies unless its Vermeil or they're out of R3 for that half of her ability and the bomber is often throwing APTs at whoever he can instead of throwing a 3die with a reroll at whoever is stressed.

I put Elusive on Rhymer because tbh it's stupid hard to get a R0 attack lol..

All I can think of is Kallus, but Vermeil seriously does not need a Focus mod as I almost never focus to begin with and routinely get 3hits with him. Kallus would let me swap seismics for protonbombs too though.

Or, should I gonk it? Sometimes vermeil is stuck out in no-mans land trying to turn around, evading every turn because he has no locks to bank. On that topic krennic is a nono because hes the only one using main guns.

As a sole Imperial player i do not have 0-0-0 so definitely not that, also any opponent paying attention would notice i almost never need a focus anyway so they'd just give me the calc every time.
