Wherein I discuss the updates to the RRG, the Winter Court Prizes, and do my very best to summarize the nearly 350+ pages of fiction that has been released for Legend of the Five Rings to date. Let me know if I missed anything important!

Only comments I would make on your recap is that Toturi should be the older brother not younger. He was passed over in the line of succession as their father felt his brother had a temperament better suited to lead the clan.

For the Unicorn Ikoma Ujiaki isn't the Ikoma Daimyo, Altansarnai was supposed to marry Ikoma Anakazu.

Thanks for catching those! I will pass those along to the editor to get corrected.

To add to those, it is Togashi Mitsu who's with Hitomi and the army - Yokuni's still up a mountain.

Is it sad that on my first pass I just auto inserted Mitsu in place of Yokuni there

Thanks for the catch! That one slipped past my second draft's edits (as in I fixed that in my second draft, but it apparently did not save).

The section for the Shadowlands seems to have been left out?

Its a secret section that says everyone is screwed and Fu Leng is coming for them all.

Let him come. He'll find the way barred by men and women of the Crab!

Tell that to the peasents of Kurosunai Village.

Gotta do what we gotta go. Empire won't give us sufficient resources to combat it at the Wall, Empire'll have to deal with the aftermath.

I notice there's no mention of the Crab agreeing to advocate for the Mantis in the courts in exchange for their supplies.

Fu Leng is already past the wall. He's just keeping up the illusion that the Crab are actually doing something to keep them from where they really need to be.

I blame the Fire Chickens Phoenix.

Understandable considering you would want to divert everyone's attention from your own clan's dabblings with the dark side. ;)

Make no mistake, all the clans will share in the responsibility of Fu Leng's ascension to power. Some more than others.

As that has not yet appeared in the fiction (i.e. the Crab have agreed to it, but have not yet been shown to ACTUALLY be doing it), I simply put that Yoritomo made Taka a deal he couldn't refuse. And since the Mantis were shown to be robbing the jade of the Crane, that did get a specific call out.

Oh, believe you me, the second this Kuni Yori switches teams, I'm 100% down with cutting his head off and burning him with the rest of the Corrupted garbage.

And newly with the L5R RPG DLC (from FFG!), a Mantis ship attacking a Crab merchantman vessel.

Curious what your reaction will be when your own champion nails his youngest son to a battle standard to pay the price for your Oni?

And if we've already executed Yori, then that's not going to happen.

Also, it doesn't seem that Kisada hates Sukune in this edition, which is nice. I'm hoping that Terrible Standard is not set and doesn't happen. If Kisada does go that far, then I'm hoping he'll turn back around as he did in Old5R to redeem himself. Sukune even forgave him for it.

Better get started with that plan quick. Yori's work is further along than you think.

Maybe someone needs to give Jack Burton a call

Who is this Leng Fu Lo Pan of which you speak? There has been zero mention of it in New5R. Perhaps you need some jade tea to settle your nerves and not dream up such odd gaijin names.

I'll have you know that Fu Leng is one of the illustrious Kami that fell from the heavens! Now of course unlike the other little boys and girls, Fu Leng had put on a little to much weight and fell right through Ningen-Do into Jigoku. Which is why you probably aren't familiar with him.
