84pts. Is she worth it? Has anyone had success with her? I am starting to think she is better than I first thought. That stress giving ability is nasty. What support ships would you fly her with?

Her having the force helps with action economy. The shadow caster still needs a gunner slot to make it sing. Otherwise she feels over cost compared to something like the falcon.
Edited by MepHaven’t flown her yet but have played against her. She still felt overcosted to me, but the force makes her just as tanky as she used to be. Toward the end of one of the games she was saving her force tokens and just evading. My whole fleet against just Asajj took quite a number of turns to bring her down, force and Evade tokens combined is potent.

issue is she is expensive wout any upgrades and tobe a real powerhouse she needs stuff like latts razi. thats too many points in one ship imo.

Lots of complaints but honestly I don’t see it as poorly as most. She like most of the other large bases doesn’t arc dodge due to a lack of boost abilities. Also a natural 2 Dice Turret seems to be turning folks off. Pair her with say 0-0-0. Now you get an interesting control element. You can either multiple stress targets clear stacks or collect a token of your own while other things happen. As a large base she needs flexible wingmen. So personally lower initiative generic fangs or even some M3A’s to mix things up will help her.
But she is worth it, she might not be a one ship army like in 1.0 but what ship really is? People are still looking at what it was not what she is currently.

good points Ronu. id consider using her with a Jakku Gunrunner mini swarm. Thats some nice control/ just need to get some damage thru is all.
Ketsu > Assaj, for less than 100 points Ketsu is way better than assaj for 110-115 pts. Sure there's a drawback in Ketsu's ability, meaning that you primary and auxilary firing arc got to be the same but, IMO she's way worth it.

Force tokens are very very strong, I was able to keep my turret arc faced forward the entire game and have targets each turn saving me lots of actions and enabling the title and her ability.
I think this ship falls into the same hole that many of the large turrets have in second edition, they need to be flown well to do well. You cant fly them as you could in first edition (crappily and rely on the turret to not care that you flew crappily). Its a 3 dice attack ship, with 2 evades and 2 force and 10hp it's strong by default, it has both evade and target lock (since you usually don't want to focus) and it's strong offensively or defensively.
Anyways she is strong if you just ignore the fact she has a turret, if you are shooting out of that instead of the front well then she is not worth it. Both her ability and the title are also very nice only if you fly her like a primary arc ship.
Long story short, I think she is actually really good but only if you are good at flying. you can't just do hard 3 turns all game pointing at the center of the map and turning off your brain like you could in first edition.
Its now a very punishing ship to fly (from easy mode in first) but if you can fly well and keep that front arc on target she is a beast. Very few ships can match her defensive ability (no medium or large base ships that's for sure) and she can open up her offense if she can afford to. Add to the fact 2 control elements that are action independent and you have a good ship.
I Don't think the way to fix Asajj is decrease her cost but rather release better Illicits . The reason she isn't that great is because there are no good Illicits. Imagine if glitterstim was still in the game, she would be insane! In any of the games you have played with her what Illicits have you chosen? I know that every list I have made with her never has any Illicits?
At least part of the problem is that the Lancer still has its *amazing* dial, but doesn't have any linked actions, not even turret spins like the HWK, to take advantage of it.
And the Shadow Caster title was just neutered.

^ This. Linked actions would transform the Lancer, as it would make the strong greens on the dial a lot more meaningful. Even just access to the gunner slot would be huge, as Han's "red focus action when you engage" would pair incredibly well.
Asajj + Latts is super tanky. Converting one focus to an evade is a good ability, and it's a useful control piece (Supernatural aces, Scum Han Gunner, etc don't want engagement phase sress).
The dial is great but you're rarely actually stressed to make use of the blues. Maybe Sabine + Maul would be good?
Gunner slot would be interesting. Bossk might even be alright there, and Han would be great. Dengar might be a bit degenerate with Asajj, though. Maybe not any moreso than Juke+Vader...?
Scum in general needs more illicit and modification options.
FWIW, I've heard that Sabine with Maul crew is better than Asajj. The Lancer is still bad though.

There is this Zuckuss guy who wants a word with you. Also Maul
Not great, but not decimator-bad.
The Lancer got a pretty substantial nerf with the mobile arc losing an attack die.
I've run Assaj with Sense and Zuckuss alongside Old Teroch and Palob with trick shot and moldy crow.
On her own, she is not that great. Mixed in with the debuffs from Terry and his Pal, she can reliably hand out stress and make the life of an ace a short and miserable one.
is anyone playing Asajj and having success? force tokens with Maul crew seem pretty darn good but costly. worth it or no?

SO aggravating that it has practically convinced me to sell my 2.0 stuff. Exactly what FFG promised us would NOT be part of the new edition.

I feel ur pain. Are you are referring to the power level of 2.0 or just the cost of ships? or gameplay in general?

This is what annoys me about Scum Z95's, they cost more than rebel Z95's as they have the mostly useless illicit slot.
