Scum Tractor Pull

Never actually got to fly the "party bus" in v1.0 so I wanted to put a list together. Latts's ability seemed interesting so I tried to build on that. Added IG-88s for the Calculate synergy and for something that was hard-hitting (hopefully). The Gunrunner is another source of Tractor tokens and can stick around.

Are you keeping the points for some kind of bid or are you willing to spend them? You could bump the Jakku runner up to Unkar for the extra effects if you get the bump. You could put Cikatro on the Quad and Inertial Dampeners on Latts (and then swap the illicits), the point being you won't get forced to decloak on a bad roll and could even cloak Latts at some point (sometimes cloaking early and then decloaking for positional advantage). Intertial Dampeners is just something cheap to swap.

I don't have any issue spending the points. Can you explain to me how swapping the Cloaking device would keep me from forcing to decloak? I had it on the Gunrunner because, as far as I can tell, there is nothing in the rules preventing you from deploying a device in the System Phase if you are cloaked. The Disarmed token only prevents you from making attacks.

You need the cloaking device upgrade in order to get the cloak token but nothing stops you from keeping the cloak token if you swap the cloaking device for inertial dampeners. Better yet, if you no longer have the upgrade, you don't have to roll a die to see if it fails. I know it sounds like that breaks the rules, but hey, scum & villainy! There's an old thread discussing this here . (someone may have a better or more authoritative reference)

So you could do something like:

Round 1: Cloak the Quad, swap the cloaking device with inertial dampeners on Latts

Round 2: Cloak Latts

Round 3: Decloak Latts with an optional Barrel Roll or Boost for more flexible positioning in the initial engagement

And yes, that's correct. You can bomb and tractor while cloaked. You can't decloak and drop a device the same round though. Decloaking to quickly close distance in order to tractor is sometimes a good option.

I see. and I totally agree, "scum and villainy " is exactly why I play this faction.
