Question About Jake Farrel and the Action Queue

By Mo Balls, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi Guys,

I hope you can clear some things up for me: Do I understand the rules correctly?

  • Jake Farrel does a Barrel roll. His ship- and pilot-ability triggers, meaning:
    • He gives himself a focus action
    • He may perform a red Boost action
  • He performs said Boost action, gains stress, his pilot ability triggers again, so he cannot give himself another focus action (cause he is stressed and cannot perform any more actions),but he can give it to a different friendly ship.

To sum up: Jake can reveal his dial and then move, he can barrel roll and then boost after and ends up with a focus and a stress + the extra focus action the the friendly ship if in range.

Thanks so much guys!

Yeah you can do this, as you say he could not perform the Focus action because he's stressed but nothing to say that he can't grant that to another ship. This is pretty much exactly the example used for the Action Queue in the rulebook.

thanks a lot! I was reading and re-reading that part of the rules references over and over again but I wasnt sure if i got it right.

You can also use him to pass over 2 focus to other ships (1 to 2 ships), he can Roll then take his red Boost, then per the Action Queue can give a focus token to one ship for the Roll, and one focus for the Boost.
