By TheSoberPug, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Imagine your opponents face when you set this up...

MC-75 Ordnance Cruiser

Ordnace Experts, External Racks, Profundity, Flechette Torpedoes, Reinforced Blast Doors 122 Points

MC-30 Torpedo Frigate

Admiral Raddus, Ordnace Experts, Reinforced Blast Doors, External Racks, Mon Calamari Exodus Fleet 102 Points

MC-30 Torpedo Frigate

Reinforced Blast Doors, External Racks, Mon Calamari Exodus Fleet, Ordnace Experts 80 Points

Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette

External Racks, Garel’s Honor, Rapid Launch Bays 49 Points

Squadrons-

Corran Horn 22 Points

Dash Rendar 24 Points

Objectives= Superior Positions, Advanced Gunnery, Contested Outpost

399 Points (not much but it will give you first turn over 400 point fleets)

You put in the MC-30 with Raddus and the MC-30 (you put the fights in the hammerhead). Then, when your lose to the other persons ships, you put down the MC-75 then, you put down the hammerhead and then you put in your fighters which both have rogue so you don’t have to worry about wasting your command dials on squadron commands.

Hey! For a first time fleet build, this is solid . The archetype is nicknamed “nesting dolls.” Congrats.

Exodus fleet suffers from being completely outclassed by other MC titles, especially Admonition (and task force titles don’t generally earn their points back until you hit three, but that’s moot here.) Given a fragile defense token suite ECM is much, much better for the MC75 than RBD; if it enables you to brace one six damage attack over a game, you’re already tied. RBDs could also go on the 30s. By the time it’s discarding 2-3 damage from a 4 hull, mostly shields ship, they aren’t living an extra round. Dash and Corran are weird choices given a. the Hammerhead can only take one, b. They’re expensive rogues and that premium is for being low maintenance, c. They’re kind of poor bombers for their cost and d. Rapid Launch Bays makes positioning easy, requires a squadron command/token to trigger anyway and counts for their activation, so they can’t move anyway that round. Go for B-wings if RLB is your thing, and accept they will probably get eaten if your opponent brought fighters, which may be waiting to engage right when you place them. Where to put those points? Lando and Admo on the flagship, replace the 30’s ExRax and the 75’s Flechettes (you shouldn’t be flakking, you should be killing) with APTs/ACMs. You should still have 12 points left. Ordnance Experts on GH and a good bid is always nice... Objective-wise, Superior Positions is for squadron lists only. Against a squad-light fleet they can farm hundreds of points, regardless of who brought it. Contested Outpost is nice, but consider Hyperspace Assault; given the timing, you can jump your HA ship in, then jump Profundity in, then jump the Hammerhead in. The flexibility is incredible. Recognize you can’t choose a ship in hyperspace for Advanced Gunnery; that’s okay because the 75 doesn’t benefit too much and an MC30 is happy taking it, just be aware. Good luck, hope this helps!

Thanks, it does!
