Are Triple Fangs Viable in Second Edition?
Maybe.... but i prefer two with manaroo or two with palob.
The way you build Fenn is nice, but i don't think Kavil is better than Manaroo or Palob.

Teroch + Predator > Kad + Fearless. Teroch just counters imperials so nicely. He is really good! If going Kad, I would definitely go Elusive since it gels with his ability so nicely.
As for your OP question, I dont think three fangs are enough. Two named fangs and a support like Palob is better.
I have been running Fenn,Talonbane,Graz, and L337 escape shuttle and its been doing great. L337 has been coordinating for Cobra and Graz, and all three ships hit HARD at range 1 (potentially 15 red dice from the three)
So, for three fang list, sub Cobra and Graz for two Fangs.

Zealot at ps1 is your blocker extraordinaire. Zoom him in there to get blocks. Leaves you 8pts for bid, or a ept or two for fenn and teroch. Depends on how much bid you want. Predator on both? Elusive on both?
Fenn and Teroch beat my A/B/X/Y/Z list loaded with ion ordnance. Joy was there too, but she just ion’ed into a rock and died ?
It was super close, though. Fun game.
