Any suggestions for minis to use on this.....

By camelon75, in Android

I found some nice pre painted minis to use for Arkham horror from EM4 called Dunwich detectives added a nice touch to the game to have a wee lead man to move around, or lady of course.

Thought it could work for android too but what minis would be suitable?

I don't think Minis would look good for the same reasons they don't look good in Arkham Horror: Both games feature a heavy load of cardboard tokens. Miniatures would be a breach of game aids and thus impair the optical cohesion both games display.

We shall have to agree to disagree on this Mike happy.gif , having used minis on Arkham and had at least 3 other players who also own the game ask where they can get the minis, in my experience they do not breach anything short of personal taste.

I was merely asking if any one who plays the game is similarly minded in that they like minis, guess it comes from being two things

1. A wargamer who likes painted minis

2. My childhood playing with Cluedo and Monopoly which had main playing pieces that always STOOD OUT when compared to the other components.

I completey understand that not everyone will want to include an extra aspect to the game board but personally I like to be able to see my playing piece and others instantly by having them look different but still within the genre and feel of the game.

Anyhow still searching for some ideas but thanks for the input.

I have no prob with miniatures myself (though I am more of a painter than a gamer). You may consider looking at the page www.wargamesfoundry.com , especially the section on Street Violence (another minis game, set in an universe similar to Android´s). You may find some interesting model there.
