Probably just need some generic pilot upgrades.
If you do the in-for-a-penny strat, Wedge gives you all you need for at least one turn, Full Pivot means that you should be able to wibble your arcs wherever you need them to fire to actually have a shot with both. But theoretically you could make like, a Gunner upgrade that lets you fire out of arc (but maybe give the enemy a cover buff or something to compensate) or bump a range band or all kinds of things which would make the T-47 more worth the total point spend. Like, the AT-ST is crazy expensive, but people have come up with double AT-ST lists. you just need the right synergy.
ATM, I think the issue is that FFG was probably overly cautious, you don't need dedicated say, Anti-Air to take on an Airspeeder, anybody with generic Anti-Armor does it. Immunity to blast and melee is unique, but not properly effective, especially when it's a Speeder Vehicle you might have a **** of a time chasing it down anyway. Sure, being weak to impact on say, a missile launcher makes sense (SW has never really seemed to care about the difference between say, a MANPADS and an ATGM, and an RPG works just as well against helos as humvees) but also being vulnerable to even a little bit of impact on like the standard basically LMG unit hurts. The fact that the Empire starts with such good anti-armor and melee and blast are fairly limited means the Airspeeder basically starts in the environment that hurts it most, and will only later appear in the environment where it's more resilient, like if people want to make Palp n' Guard lists work, or whatever unique twists and turns Republic and Separatist armies bring. Or in like, a tourney setting it might have some time now, since say, it has the mobility to flank and hit pesky snipers in the enemy backline (who have no anti-armor at all) and might also bring the heat you need to hurt an AT-ST. It has really gotten a bad rap though since Legion's "year one" is basically all the stuff it doesn't like.
