Faolan figure upgrade

By Jukey, in Runewars Rules Questions

Interesting thought, faolan says if you use his auto bank/charge you cannot disengage. Obviously, this was to prevent cat bounce attacks, but an odd thing occurred to me. Due to the wording, if you remove enough trays in an attack you would have to close in, correct? Otherwise, you would be disengaging during your activation.

RRG 73.4.

Disengage refers specifically to a shift out of engagement. You’re good to not close in.

Sorry to derail but I keep seeing people mention a cat bounce attack and have no clue what that is.

Leonx don't last long in my area so I am chulking it up to inexperience on my part. Forgive the ignorance. :(

When engaged, dial in an initiative-3 march, with a shift-1 modifier. Your march doesn't work because you're engaged, but you can use your shift to disengage.

You do no damage, but he probably wastes his turn, and your archers have a clean shot at him.

Yup, and then on the next turn, you likely have a faster charge than your opponent does.

However, if your opponent sees it coming, they dial in a charge instead of a swing. So it becomes a rock-paper-scissors thing.
