When it was pointed out that, even in the original scriptings and concepts, he was never Mandalorian, only ever Bounty Hunter in Mandalorian Armour.
And I mean, for me personally:
I mean, really. Just look at his Armour. Its trashed. Has no Clan Markings. No statements of allegiance. Even if he is Mandalorian, he doesn't deserve squat after clearly abandoning everyone and everything... If it was a problem with his father, I'm sure after Jango's death, he would have been able to return to Mandalore and fight for acceptance. Its what a true Mandalorian would do if it were needed.
Instead. He works for the Empire.

Well as long as Mandalore returns to its warrior culture and we possibly get a Kandosii II-class dreadnought, I guess that's good enough for me.
The Mandalorians have a real cool aesthetic in their designs.
