So by the same token you think Jarjar should get a super powerful crew card? That’s what Rose is, she is the jarjar of TLJ. Every scene with her was either painful or stupid or painfully stupid.

I get it, the constant negativity can be a bit off puting, but criticisms of TLJ are perfectly relivant in a thread about TLJ xwing content, and whether or not you agree, TLJ is the lowest rated Star Wars film ever. A lot of people have a lot of valid criticisms of the film.

That said I’m done complaining about Rose in this thread.

Trigger warnings are stupid. Also, you are insane.

If Jar Jar is super powerful that's perfectly fine... again because some people don't like a character is not a valid reason to make it bad.

Unbelievable amounts of selfish idiocy. "I hate it so make it suck!!!, screw you kid who likes the character nothing for you!"

And because FFG just can't stop printing falcons, the republic will gain one based on the cameo in Revenge of the Sith. The falcon is to FFG what Skyrim is to Bethesda, lol

Millennium Falcon by many is considered a character all by herself. I don’t think we will get another one though. I think the Scum (Customized), Rebel (Modified) and Resistance (Scavenged) covers pretty much all the eras in lore.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like she was a lowly farmboy trying to be an ace pilot, mystical Jedi warrior, a leader and a potential love interest for a Princess, right?

(Seriously, why on Earth did the Rebellion give Luke two wingmen in the Battle of Yavin and have _him_ lead an attack run, instead of making him a wingman to either Biggs or Wedge? Aside from plot necessity, of course).

I always wondered that, too. It basically just comes down to “boy wonder” plot device. The most he has going for him is Biggs vouching for his piloting skill to Garvin, and the rebels at Yavin IV just happen to have a spare X-Wing to toss his *** into. The first half of the deathstar fight really should have been Luke struggling to figure the controls out, like how Tom Cruise can’t switch the safety off in Edge of Tomorrow.

The Millenium Falcon even has her own theme-song.

But what if Episode 9 sports a triangular radar "dish?" I don't know if we can handle not getting toys of that across licensed products, including board games.

That’s far too out there for Disney. They will play it safe and go with a slightly differently proportioned rectangular dish.

Dear God, we have a fun conversation about plastic crack and the salt comes in about the source material. I was "meh" on TLJ, but absolutely loved the content it produced for the game. Furthermore, I want to enjoy my republic ships (despite disliking the first 2 prequels), and the unbecoming whining will only worsen by then. Star Wars fans have hated Star Wars more than anyone else since 1999.

Well, the Republic could have an unmodified stock YT-1300 rather than customized, modified, or scavenged... Whether it would have the title Millenium Falcon is another question, since we don't when the ship was named Millenium Falcon.

Eh, people are critical of things they are passionate about.

I complain about balance issues in Overwatch because I love Overwatch. I never complain about balance issues in CoD because I couldn’t care less about CoD.

Agreed. I am eagerly looking forward to some prequel Republic ships!

When the prequel ships arrive, I may cease playing any other factions. Darth Maul gets to cloak, Anakin and Obi-Wan in Jedi Starfighters. Plastic crack is amazing and the Resistance Conversion kit reveal will just be another great addition.

To be fair Biggs likely volunteered to keep an eye on a non soldier (his real life friend) with no actual combat experience. The trench run is easy, no one asked Luke to do it he just goes to it as they are literally seconds away from losing. Do you really think anyone is going to tell him no if he’s willing to risk his life as no one else was in position or alive. 2 designated leaders fail before Luke tries it. So this really isn’t all that unbelievable. Biggs is his friend and Wedge is just a nice guy newbie at that point.

Not waying in on anything else but that scene is actually believable.

Oh totally... By the time Luke makes the attack run with Biggs and Wedge, the three of them are literally the only X-Wings left alive (and somewhere is a not-Farlander-anymore in a Y-Wing). So Luke saying “**** it, I’mma make a run, you two cover me!” is totally legit.

But I still think the first half of the battle would have been better if Luke makes an attack run against the turrets and his guns don’t even have the safety off.

Hahaha

the art and ability for Resistance Han fit so well ?

Well the artwork is going to make it tricky but in my Alternate Narrative I think I have a good reason why Han went from Frelancer S&V faction to joint the resistance. I will have it set up in Wave 2.

Well, it seems the YT-1300 is going to be quite popular in three different factions. There are some solid builds to be made here. Looking forward to fly the Resistance!

And the TIE Fighter is also in 3 factions. IMHO when the Republic comes out I would like to see Z-95 Headhunters and Y-wings make it to there as well so there will be 4 tri-faction ships.

And here I thought the salt was stemming from both the game content and the movie, specifically how some content was given an ability that seems, on its face, far superior to the ones handed out elsewhere.

The fact it also is content a group of folks strongly dislike is additional salt on the salt pile already forming — I’d personally be nervous of this effect in 2.0 no matter where it got assigned. The fact everyone zeroed in on the bonus salt may have been my failing to point out the issue with the gameplay clearly enough.

Go ahead and enjoy your republic ships! :) the only reason I won’t be joining you there is financial (knowing me, I’d have to have “everything” for a faction, multiply that out so many factions and not so sustainable).

I think @HolySorcerer is correct that people get upset about what they care about.

TIE Fighter is in 4 factions if you count the TIE/fo.

And the Republic should get Z95s and Y-wings, though they should have different stats as they were fairly different.

While that would probably be more believable, it would amount to baby Anakin doing a loop and crashing his N1 into the hangar.

Also, they sort of hand wave his piloting skill by saying the T-16 he owned on Tatooine has almost identical controls to the T-65.

Well, that’s pretty much what he went from during TFA.

huh? oh the tentacle monsters are loose on my ship and they are eating all the Bounty Hunters that put together are still less than Greedo.

Yeah another reason why I went with an alternative narrative. So this path is going to be Scum -> Resistance -> Alliance.

I am failing to see how this is more powerful than Vessery.

Do you mean Rose?

Vessery has to rely on another ship to have a lock or to have locked earlier in the same turn or former one. He's also only possible on the ship he pilots.

Assuming there are other good options to put crew on for Resistance, Rose could be put on a number of different platforms that could utilize her quite well.

She's more flexible and can be equipped to more ships.

Was lore in Legends. Same manufacturer for both the T-16 and T-65 with the T-16 designed as a trainer for the other platforms...

The controls being similar is lore in new canon as well. It's spoken out loud in IV.

I’d be down with a Republic (Stock) 1300.

I always thought Lucas should have put a 1300 in the prequels, but make IT all smooth and chromed when brand new, just to really emphasize just how much modification had been done to the falcon.
