Resistance Conversion Kit upgrade preview

I suppose that depends on how highly FFG value that third shield and innate boost?

That, and how Poe has 1.0 push the limit stapled on.

I doubt the point cost for Poe will be higher than Luke (62 pts). The T-70 isn't that much better a ship than the T-65. I'd expect him to be slightly more than Wedge (so >52 but <60).

If that occurs expect to see a lot of "Fat" Rey and Poe lists (especially with all those wonderful upgrades)

I'm planning one for competitive play, but I likely won't fly it in friendly games.

Just heard on the Gold Squadron stream at Coruscant that the kit will contain TEN Tech Upgrade cards. That's not an insignificant amount! Besides Targeting Synchroniser, what might we expect? I imagine Primed Thrusters won't be in the Conversion Kit as they made a fuss about it being in the A-Wing box, but what else is there that we might want/not want to see?

10 that’s interesting. Did they say what those tech upgrades are? Are they live streaming on YouTube or Twitch? Be interesting if any more leaks come from Coruscant.

Both, I'm watching on YouTube because Twitch is no longer supported on my PS3, and I'm dipping in and out of the FFG stream on my PC. They didn't say which, they just said ten (grain of salt time, obviously).

I'm guessing 2 x 5 different cards. And the First Order conversion kit will have exactly the same number and type.

So, in 1st we had Targeting Synchronizer, Advanced Optics, Weapons Guidance, Comms Relay, Sensor Cluster, Threat Tracker, Primed Thrusters, Pattern Analyser and Hyperwave Comms Scanner.

Of those, I'd suggest Weapons Guidance and Sensor Cluster are the most likely to make the transition. Maybe Pattern Analyser? The others seem a bit powerful for 2nd edition at the moment, unless they receive a rewrite.

Oh **** he does. But only once, right? I don't think he can just get his charge back, can he?

Also tbh I am VERY HYPE to throw HLCs on T-70s!

It regenerates. The charge on Black One, however, does not.

So charges regenerate? What you just told me is really confusing.

I think they were suggesting Poe would be 68pts in a T-70 for purposes of running Resistance two-ship lists.

This guy right here gets it ^ ?

Rey/Poe aka my favorite list in 1.0

From the way the post was formatted it looked like they were suggesting that Poe be a Falcon pilot as well as on the T-70.

Yeah, 10x tech upgrade cards in the kits was revealed in the preview articles way back when.

Hey, question, say you throw a Jamming beam onto a T-70. You can't attack as well right?

Poe's pilot ability costs 1 charge to use and Poe regens 1 charge per round.

The "Black One" title gives a T-70 a 1 charge cost SLAM action and the charge on the Title does not regen.

The Jamming Beam is a cannon, you have to attack with it to use it.

Not as far as we've seen.

The FO preview article reveals "Hyperspace Tracking Data" and "Advance Optics".

Mmh. Makes the Jamming beam or Tractor beam seem like a very dubious choice when I've got three dice I can chuck out instead.

No downsides to using HLC though! Seems like cannons get range bonuses in 2.0... and if they always did, I have some faces to punch for misinformation.

Jamming Beam "Attack: If this attack hits, all (hit)/(crit) results inflict Jam tokens instead of damage."

Range: 1-2

Arc: Front

3 Dice

If you take it, use it to set up an opponent for the rest of your squad to wipe out.

Or you fire the same shot with your main gun probably cost them at least one token and do actual damage.

The HLC doesn't get the R1 shot (but you have your primaries for that), your opponent will get the R3 bonus. HLC is locked to bullseye, which limits its utility.

Ion Cannon , on the other hand... Could be useful.

Also range bonuses on cannons are definitely a 2.0 thing.

No one bamboozled you, the range bonuses for cannons is new to 2.0. You can tell which charges regenerate by the tiny yellow triangle to the right of the charge number. Lone Wolf is a good example, it gains a charge every turn. It’s efectively 2.0’s version of saying, “You may do this thing once per turn.”

Looking at Poe’s pilot card, you can see a small triangle next to the 1 for his charge count. That means that the charge is “Recurring”, which translates to getting one back per turn. Other cards like Leia Crew, Dace Bonearm, and Wampa have the recurring symbol. You can see this symbol on Force stats as well.

Black One’s charge doesn’t have the Recurring symbol, like missiles, torps, and some abilities (see Iden).

Depending on the target and your squad build. Hitting a double tokened Defender, Phantom, or Perceptive Boba with Han gunner with jamming beam can leave them wide open to a pounding where just using your primary might drop a token and get a little damage through.

Neeeeheheeheheheheeeeeeee..! Five dice bullseye arc HLC. My god, I chose the right faction to main for sure. Ion cannon would be especially Rude. Ion T-70s with kitted out MG-100s... Hoo boy. That could be devastating.

Alright so black One's the title right? That one doesn't recharge. But Poe's ability does recharge, so he can PTL at least once per turn. Gonna' have to seriously equip him with something that can clear stress- he'll need it I think. I almost said he has no linked actions, but very technically all those actions can link into each other with that 1.0 PTL baked into his card. **** he's scary. Gonna' have to find some REAAAAALLLLLLYYYYY good reasons not to run Poe...

Lord am I pumped for The Resistance..!

Four dice. HLC is Range 2-3.

Oh crap you're right. Well that's also very good! Means I'm rolling 4 at every range. No downside there at all.
