Infinite holocron predictions

By JoshisJoshingyou, in Star Wars: Destiny

I guessing knowing how adventurous ffg op is they will just turn the old standard holocron I to the I finite where it will stay unchanged for ever.

Be nice if they rebalanced things. If they didn't when it was the main format why would they then?

I hate to say I think you're right, but I'd like to see rebalancing.

I think one of the reasons to rebalance the rotating characters is that it would help diversify the format from standard(as opposed to infinite being whatever standard would be plus speeds, second chances, and illusions). I'd also say the advantage of balancing characters for infinite when they haven't up till now is it is relatively low risk since it's not the premier format. They can errata the costs on several characters, with little drawback and even use the adjustment as a test bed for reprinting cards at the adjusted cost to see if they break them.

This is just a thought but what if we balance with a new set, then maybe another. How about rotation. I would love to see this game grow and changing the wording on cards just frustrates new players. Biggest change for the better was saying that you could only overwrite once per turn. It fixed a major problem without confusing new players. I do apologize for the rant. I just hate to see good things get ruined by people who get their way by complaining. The test team are playing this game 3 to 4 sets ahead of what we have. They don't see Yoda or Snoke as a problem. Let the game grow. Give constructive feedback. I want a game that has people wanting to play it. Not one that is being influenced by the 2% that complain

I am looking forwards to the rotation.

Even if you aren't it still means two new sets.

Ffg doesn't play test well, back to back packs in the star wars lcg broke the game for months. Not a single op game doesn't have errata. I'm fine with errata and changing the wording it only effects op, play how ever you want in your own leagues and stores. I just want the 90% of characters to be useful, that is good for every one.

This time last year the guards were changed, we received some big errata for many games.

So it seemed to me at the time, and nothing has changed for me with regards to Destiny, but FFG does seem to understand that they can not sit by and allow a NPE to be allowed to play on for too long and they have made changes accordingly. I think if we saw decks like FN-2199 or Poe/Maz we would not have to wait for a new release for changes to be made.

As for play testing, ask yourself, would they really have no clue about the cards to include in prize kits if they play tested well?

The only Infinite prediction I have is the prices of all the Awakenings block doing a power dive into the toilet, as the markets saturate with cards nobody is buying.

It'll be a great time for those completionist collectors though. :D

This!

There is kind of a strange assumption on this forum that competative and tournament play is what drives the game but the reality is that the overwhelming majority of Destiny players are casual, playing in small groups, collecting at a slow pace. I have been playing the game for a year and im yet to buy anything for the game at anything more than 50% off retail price. I don’t even consider for a second a new set that just released and i dont know anyone who does. We love Destiny but yeah, its waaaay to expensive to try and keep up. So i promise you that the bottom will not fall out. The vast majority of players are here and will buy up all of your cards... at. 10th of the price/value but you wont have any trouble selling them.
